I've been on over 15 cruises, and most recently a transatlantic on the Connie. This 4 day cruise had an entirely different feel to it, passengers were younger, drank more and the energy was a bit frenetic. Services on the ship seemed to be minimized: no education at sea, Michael's pub is now a private club, no brunch buffet, food options and size of portions in the dining room reduced. Now plastic mugs in the dining room proudly display advertising, and flatware in the dining room did not always match. There were few books in the once good library. As always, wait staff and cabin attendant were first rate. Ship was clean, and carefully cared for.It is getting to look a little ratty in places. One sour note, this was a "NY Jets" cruise, something I didn't learn until after booking. Should not have been a big deal, but the room they reserved for there after dinner functions, was part of the space of the wine bar, where the classical duo were booked to perform. I'm a classical music fan, and was hugely disappointed that listening to the music proved to be impossible. Guest relations tried to help, but the management did not seem anxious to correct the situation. I will go back on the ship, but not a 4 day cruise.

Cabin Review

Concierge Class 3

Cabin was just fine, especially since I was traveling alone. Hate that I had to pay double for the space.

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Easy access to get on the ship. A nightmare to make an early flight home, Celebrity said I could make a 10:30 flight out of Ft Lauderdale, it really wasn't possible.

Nassau

Spent a leisurely day walking the main street. Disappointed that things to buy were all the same stuff, mostly made in China. The Slave Museum was interesting.

Key West

Fellow travelers gave me an orientation, and I had the entire day to explore. I understand Key West used to be a quaint town, now it's become another shopping mecca, with outlets and tourist junk. It's also very crowded with 3 ships in port at the same time. The thing to do there is experience the sunset, something we couldn't do.
