We did the 7 day Coco Cay/St Thomas/St Maarten out of Port Canaveral. We arrived at about 1pm to port, and there was no wait to speak of getting checked in. We did an off site park and cruise, and had no trouble parking at all, I highly recommend it. Freedom had the new terminal all to herself. Staff at embarkation was friendly and efficient.

Our room as ready immediately. We did an interior cabin on deck 10. Quietest roomswe've ever had, honestly, we heard nothing even out in the hallways. Our stateroom attendant, Pannel from Nicaraqua, was wonderful and took care of all our needs.

Dining: We had an early seating in the MDR and wished we hadn't bothered with scheduled dining, because the meals took way too long, and there was too much else that we wanted to do to spend 2.5 hours at dinner. We did that the first two nights and then said forget it. Plus, the food was good, but not excellent, and we found the food in Windjammer to be just fine, and obviously much faster. We loved the Starbucks cafe and the veggie panini at the pizza place for lunch. Breakfasts we did room service twice (prompt and convenient), and then went to windjammer all of the other mornings (I really enjoyed the muesli, which was very filling).

Cabin Review

Interior Stateroom

Cabin K

Standard small interior stateroom, very quiet, 8 drawers, four closet shelves, 2 vanity cabinets in the room and one in the bathroom, ample closet space, clothes line in the shower to dry swim suits. Small but had everything we needed for the minimal amount of time we spent in the room.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Easiest and quickest embarkation/disembarkation we've ever experienced. We arrived at about 1pm for a 4pm sailing, and didn't wait at all at the counter. We parked off site with a park and cruise lot, and it was "smooth sailing" to port, absolutely seamless operation, very well organized.

For disembarking, our luggage was easily located, and we used a porter, which got us access to a priority customs line with ZERO wait and carried us right to our shuttle back to our car. Best $10 I spent all week was for that porter.
