Our first b2b ever february 7 to 27. Flew to Fort Lauderdale two days early as you never know what Wisconsin weather will be. Took a taxi from airport to Embassy Suites. $14 plus tip. Would not stay at Embassy Suites again not worth the over $300 per night. Took the shuttle from the hotel to the port $15 pp no more "free rides". Forget everything you have been told about embarkation. We were in the lobby at 10 a.m. and a shuttle was leaving every half hour. We were the last 2 to get on the 10 shuttle. No lines at the port and we were in the "wait" area before 11:00 on the ship by 11:45 and in our cabin A 618. Yes the room and balcony were smaller than normal but liveable.
The Atrium/Piazza was beautiful and something always going on. The entertainment through out the ship was very good. As stated by other reviews the Princess Theater has no side aisles and no tables or cup holders. After the first night we saw almost no one ordering drinks in the theater.
The Horizon Court and Horizon Bistro were sometimes confusing but after a day or two it was easy to figure out. Each area had some of the same foods and different foods in the other area. The wife and myself would walk through both look over the food, then get our plates to get what we wanted. The warm food was warm and the cold food was cold. We choose anytime dining and and ate in the MDR 15 of the 20 nights. The other 5 nights we just ate in the buffet. Never had to wait more that a couple of minutes to be seated. We always asked to share a table and that might have something to do with being seated quickly.
Get a cabin forward of aft as there are stairs and elevators there. There are self serve laundromat Aft on most decks.
