First let me start by saying this was one of the most fantastic cruises I have ever had, I am so sad its over but do not know how I could have went on for one more day lol, it was an exhausting cruise.

We arrived in Barcelona 2 days early and stayed at the Hotel Continental. I didn't arrange for a taxi but there was plenty right outside the airport, cost us 25 euros to get to the hotel. Our friends who came in later spoke spanish and ended up taking the bus right to the hotel at the cost of 5 Euros each. Its an old hotel right in the heart of the city, but we all loved it (there were 10 of us). Almost everyone staying in the hotel was going on a cruise so it made for a lot of fun and plenty of people to talk to. We all had balcony rooms which overlooked Las Ramblas boulevard. It was easy walking distance to almost everything. We found spain to be a little english unfriendly, very few people spoke english but lucky we had two girls with us who spoke spanish so it helped quite a bit in this city. Didn't really go out at night as we were all pretty tired, but wine was super cheap so we brought it back and just enjoyed the nights on our balcony.

We went over to the ship early on Saturday morning and got right on, we were all checked in and on the ship before noon. Went right up to the pool bar, but that would be the last I saw of it until the last day when we were at sea as this cruise had an exhausting schedule.

Great location, right on the hump and directly above where they let you off the ship in most ports. Room has a connecting door which was great for us.
