We (my partner and I) sailed the Glory on Sept 6 for Western Caribbean Itinerary. This was our 5th cruise, but first with Carnival. We Live on the west coast of Florida, so we simply drove over in the morning as we have done with previous cruises. The port traffic was a nightmare. To further add to the misery, the port charges $105 to park in the garage for a week. We were V.I.P guests with a suite. After we finally found the VIP line, we were through and on the ship in minutes. But the process was not without pain: There were entirely too many people bringing all their luggage aboard with them. It clogged hallways & elevators.
Our suite was what we expected in size and amenity: Large bathroom with dual vanity, and a whirlpool tub, a changing room, and plenty of closet & drawers space. When we booked, I specifically called Carnival to ensure that the beds were put together to create a king bed. Did not happen. I asked the room attendant, and all he did was push the beds together...did not place the correct linens on the king size, but left it as just what it was: two beds pushed together. It took three calls to the desk to get this rectified, and it was being done at 1am! The linens for the two beds were left on the sofa, so I just figured he would grab them in the morning. Well, he didn't. When I asked, he said that they belong in the room. Called the front desk, and they told me to take it up with the attendant!! To make a very long story short, day three, these linens were still in my way, I placed them in the hall. I requested, and received a new attendant for the duration.
There was black mold in our shower on the wall AND door.
Great closet space, nice bathroom (except the mold) small balcony, plenty of room.
