Background Information: This is our 6th Cruise, all with RCCL. We are a married couple, 30 and 32, no kids yet. We prefer to cruise to warm and tropical places. We cruise to relax, see beautiful places, breathe fresh air, go shopping, and have fun. We are not huge partiers but we enjoy a good time.

We have cruised on the Freedom, the Legend, the Enchantment, the Explorer, the Sovereign, and the Vision. Clearly, for obvious reasons, the Freedom is our favorite ship so far, but all of the cruises and ships have been great. We have been to Bermuda, Bahamas, Caribbean, and Mexico. Travel and Port Info: We arrived at the Port at around noon and we got on the ship fairly easily, it took only about 20 minutes. I will note that we are Platinum Level and we were cruising in a Jr. Suite, but a lady at the Port in the area where you get in line made us wait in the regular line even though we attempted to get in the priority line for Platinum and Diamond Members and Suite Guests. There was no one in the priority line and because we were sent to the other line we ended up having to wait in behind other guests. We are not all uppity and we were on vacation so we are not going to get all worked up about it, but she just was not listening to anything, and was just herding people along. The lady was a Port employee not a RCCL employee, and I think she basically judged us on our age (we appear a bit more youthful than we are) even though we showed her our ticket. A picky person would have been unhappy. We were just mildly amused.

We used the RCCL transfer from the airport. We usually try to avoid using the transfers because you have to wait at the airport for enough people to arrive to fill a bus, and that can be tiring after a flight, but in LA the port is about a half hour away so the transfer was just easier than booking a car. We waited at the airport for about 45 minutes until the bus was ready.
