My husband and I sailed on the Carnival Legend, July 29, 2007. We are in our mid-thirties, no children, and have traveled extensively. This was our third cruise on Carnival and we both agreed it was the best one yet!
Embarkation: Embarkation in Tampa was quick and painless. We arrived at the port about 11:20 and were on the Lido Deck eating lunch before noon. It seemed much more organized than our previous embarkation experiences in Miami, and there seemed to be more Carnival staff working as well.
Cabin: We booked an inside guarantee cabin and were upgraded to a 5A, obstructed view. Basically, it was the size of a balcony stateroom, but no balcony. Instead there were French doors that opened and led to nowhere. Our view was of a lifeboat but we really didn't care. We still had natural light and were able to open the door for a fresh breeze, things we were prepared to do without when we booked an inside guarantee. The cabin dEcor was very nice, lots of storage in the bathroom, three closets, and a couch. There was an entertainment centre/desk area with drawers, a TV, and mini-bar. There were even two bedside tables with lamps. It was nicer than our previous staterooms on the Elation and Victory, and we appreciated some of the more modern amenities like the interactive menu on the TV.
