Traveled with children

I traveled with my 2 kids, 16b and 21 g and my girlfriend and her 2 kids 18 b and 19 g... the glory is a large ship but it is very easy to get around. The service was great. The Red Sail Rest. had 4 buffet lines to serve a large group. We really never had to wait more then ten minutes to get to the food part of the line. The ship also has many water/coffee/ juice stations and they were very easy to find. We ate 6:15 in the golden dining room. The service was good but the atmosphere was a bit crowded and at times i felt rushed to eat and get out for the next group. The wait staff was friendly and they did a fine job waiting on us. Many days we ordered two dinners so we could try many things on the menu. This is not a problem.

Belize....beautiful...we went cave tubing...it was 99 $ on the ship ...we got off the ship and Dennise a private guide took us for 50 a person...it is a 4 hour excursion so don't waste time....It was quite a hike with a tube through the jungle...my 16 year old had to carry my tube. Bring water with you...though Denise stopped at the local store so we could buy water ....75 cents for a big bottle...make sure you ask for the price in american....they aren't use to tourist yet...Dennise was a great guide...he told us all about the area and the people..also bring a water camera...we were not prepared to go on this excursion...we got off the ship to go shopping and just see the area.. so we had a lot of money and digital cameras...Denise locked everything in the van/taxi and gave the guys handing out the tubes a couple of bucks to watch the van...though we were a bit weary about this situation we had no choice...we took our cash and left the rest locked in the car...Dennise was right ...everything was safe...they also had lockers there...they didn't look to sturdy...anyway the tubing was fun and there weren't any insects...my daughter usually gets eaten alive by insects and she didn't get one bite...our kids loved this one...and you know how hard it is to please teenagers...

Costa Maya...i wanted more time at this port and so did the kids....When you get off the ship you will walk into a shopping area. It has a big pool with a swim up bar....lounge chairs were also provide...no cost. We took a taxi in to the town Mayaha..spelling?...3 bucks a person...coming back 2bucks...don't know why...anyway...the taxi will leave you off at the edge of the beach...there are vendors lined up all down the dirt street. on the beach side of the street there are make shift bars set up...they have tables, chairs and lounge chairs right in the ocean... they want you to sit on their chairs and buy their drinks and food...Chilly Willy ...was the name of the guy we took up with...bucket of corona 6 for 10 bucks...the kids ate hamburger and fries...very cheap....the water was clear....blue and calm....this is where you can get a cheap massage....4 in our party got massages..2 paid 20 bucks for and hour and 2 paid 15 bucks for an hour...these people will deal...The kids went on the jet skis....this will take some time if there is a line...suggest doing it right away before there is a wait...anyway it was 60 bucks per person for and hour....we got it for 100 bucks...2 jet skis and 4 riders for 1/2 hour...the kids said that was enough...they changed drivers half way through...we took a taxi back to the port and then swam in the pool with the bar...very fun
