This was my first cruise, and I will definitely cruise again. The Carnival Legend is a beautiful ship. I was a little concerned about the past posts saying the dEcor it was over the top. The only thing I found I didn't like was the paintings on the landings of the stairwells. I felt they should have been more Art Deco like the rest of the ship; they were too modern and loud.

Embarkation was quick and easy. I would definitely suggest getting to the port before 11 am very short lines and you are on the ship with in 45 minutes. ?

Our room was really nice. We booked an inside stateroom but got upgraded to an obstructed balcony, in the future I will only book a balcony room. I was afraid the room was going to be cramped, but it wasn't bad at all. We (my best friend and I) had two large suitcases a piece and still had room in the closest to hang more clothing. Our room was on the fourth floor mid ship behind a life boat. We still got a great sea breeze every night when it was cool enough to sleep with the balcony door open. Beware the crew works on the boat all the time, our first morning we were woken up by a bunch of crew members working on the lifeboats in front of our balcony. Hint: keep the curtains closed so you don't give them a free show. Our room steward was awesome, any weird request he seem to handle with ease.
