This cruise left from Ft. Lauderdale, FL and included stops in Cozumel and Key West, FL with two days at sea. We traveled in Concierge class cabin 9201, dead aft.

Basics

We have been on several cruises but they are usually secondary vacations for us (home base is St. Martin for vacations). They include everting from the RCL behemoths to the 90 person Paul Gaugain Tere Moana (quite the experience…). We are late fifty’s early sixty’s but we vacation younger than we are. The other big thing to understand about this review is spring break…we had at least a couple hundred of these fun loving kids on board…seemed odd for Celebrity. This would be a good time to note that a lot of crew onboard seemed to be new or very inexperienced (maybe a training ground/).

Cabin Review

Concierge Class 1

Cabin C1

We were on deck 9 directly below the Ocean View Café and the bar behind it which means that you hear every chair being dragged over the deck. Overall I think that this was a minor annoyance. You could go 1 deck lower and avoid it if you want but that makes you 1 deck further away from the activity. The balcony on this room is not to be believed. One previous reviewer said it was almost as big as the room and they were not far off. There were no less than 4 chairs, 1 lounger and 2 tables and they were not crowded. If you were a person that just wanted peace and quiet, this is your location. As you might suspect, however, it was not completely private… I noticed no engine noise or vibration. I will also note, however, that there was little breeze (we had very calm weather). Otherwise the room was a bit tight but no issues, for the class of travel. Overall I would give the cabin a 9/10 for value and location. Most of the daytime action is on deck 10, one deck up and the dining room in directly below you. The buffet and aft tables are 1 deck up along with the aft facing bar.
