This was my first Celebrity cruise and I already have a second one booked. This was only my third cruise and it had been awhile since I had been back to the high seas but Celebrity certainly delivered. I booked the Concierge class balcony room on the Summit for the trip. Getting onboard could not have been any easier with the priority boarding offered to the Concierge class passengers. The Summit was in good shape though she is a little dated she did not disappoint. Getting around on the Summit was easy and there was plenty to do for entertainment. The cruise directors were excellent on the Summit. In fact, the entire cruise was so helpful, and always had a smile. I was very impressed by the entire staff/crew of the boat. The captain was entertaining and approachable as well anyone else on the boat. My compliments to the food and beverage staff who did an incredible job keeping us in tow with great food and fantastic drinks. Our cabin stewards were always on top of things and we had daily canapés and treats in our cabin to give us that extra little touch of service. Food was great from the burgers at the Grill , to the buffet, right on through the Main Dining room. The Normandy was sublime with flavor and service, we loved our two evenings there. I know that most folks opt for the larger boats these days but since it had been some time since I had cruised I thought I would enjoy a slightly smaller vessel and I certainly did. If you the luck to take advantage of the Celebrity promotion for getting free drink packages I recommend jumping at them. We upgraded the free Class packages to the Premiums and never worried about what to have when as everything was covered in the premium- well worth the upgrade. From start to finish the Celebrity Summit and its crew did a wonderful job of keeping us safe and happy and having a great time- it was a fantastic vacation.
