Sail Date: Jan 2015
Cabin: Junior Suite

This cruise took us from Sydney to Newcastle, Hobart and Melbourne. We had previously sailed on her on her inaugural voyage to Australia in 2011 (Hawaii to Sydney). She is a lovely ship and both times we have had aft facing cabins, this time splurging on a junior suite. We had a great time on this cruise. Seas were a little rough for both crossings of Bass Strait but this didn't bother us at all as we are lucky we do not suffer from any kind of seasickness. Our aft cabin was pretty much protected from a lot of the wind so we got to use it a lot. Some decks off limits due to the seas and high winds. Plenty to do inside though. A highlight for us though was lying on our deck lounges one night just off the coast of Sydney after leaving Newcastle. You could see the lights of Sydney in the distance but the night sky was clear, the weather was balmy and we enjoyed looking up at the brilliance of the stars at sea. There was also lightning on the horizon as well. The simple pleasures in life!!! We thoroughly enjoyed and recommend the full day winery tour in Newcastle. Staff were very friendly and helpful again. We also enjoyed dinner in Chops Grille where food and service were wonderful. We still recommend this lovely ship and you won't be disappointed sailing on her.

Cabin Review

Junior Suite

Cabin JS

Aft facing Junior Suite or the prime real estate cabins as some like to call them. Loved it!!! Very spacious with a walk-in robe and the added bonus of a bath. Our balcony was massive and we just loved using it. This was our second time with an aft facing cabin and cannot recommend this area of the ship highly enough. It is a bit of a hike down the corridor from the steps but that is no big deal. Very quiet down that end also and we never had a problem with noise above us from the area of Rita's Crabshack. Also quite private too.
