We've cruised before on Norwegian and loved it. This trip we found the entertainment to be top-notch with the Broadway play Rock of Ages; the sensational dancing from the Burn the Floor troupe kept us mesmerized; Dueling Pianos was incredible and tons of fun (where else can you submit endless requests for songs to be played by two piano players and you get to sing badly without anyone caring?); the comedian/magician was great; the blues club didn't disappoint either. The Cirque de Soliel show was fantastic (even though you had to pay for it, it was well worth the money). The Burn the Floor troupe also gave various dance lessons in the atrium, and also have a dinner club mini-show at The Manhattan Club. If none of this appeals to you, there are numerous places to lay out and catch the sun, sit on a deck and listen to music, or get entertained by the staff in the atrium with shows like Bingo, Deal or No Deal, or Not So Newlyweds. There are movies, some in the theater and some in the atrium. You can rent nooks from the Library, or just check out a book, or you can play chess or cards in the card room.

If you are into sports, there is a sports court, golf tee, running track, gym, rock climbing wall, ropes course with a small zip line, aqua park, ping pong, shuffleboard (and probably a few things we didn't see). There is also an arcade and internet on board (not free though).

There was plenty of food choices starting at the buffets in the main dining room, to the three sit-down restaurants (all three will serve the same food). We ate at the Taste one evening and watched the sunset while eating dinner (very romantic). O'Sheehan's is also a sit-down restaurant without having to get dressed up but with a limited, but tasty menu. There are plenty of places to have some upscale dining which you have to pay for (some have a set fee, some are ala carte). There is 24/7 eating at O'Sheehan's sports restaurant with a separate bar area (the pot pies were amazing!). There is soft ice cream in the Cafe, hard ice cream during lunch and dinner service in the Cafe, or you can get Gelato (which is not free). Also, you can visit the bakery and get some yummy Italian pastries (a little pricey, but hey you're at sea not in Bayonne). You can always get a cup of coffee, tea, iced tea, juice, water for free.

Cabin Review

Family Inside Stateroom

Cabin I1

We were only two people (retired and married) and honestly, I don't know how 4 people would fit in this stateroom. It was small!!!! With no drawers and no place to sit other than an ottoman and the bed. The bathroom was standard ship size (very adequate). I do recommend that you bring an electrical zip strip as there are only two outlets.
