This was our second NCL cruise and we chose the cruise by the ship. When we booked the cruise the Breakaway was still under construction. We like to make our vacation a bit longer so we went and visited family in Pennsylvania for a week then drove to NY and stayed in Time Square the night before the cruise. Getting to the terminal was fun as I am not used to being driven around in NY and I will say that the cab driver tried to kill us. We got to the terminal very early as I like to be early so I can get on early and not have to wait.

The Breakaway (truly a Mega-Ship) was amazing. It offered everything to all ages. The crew was also amazing, even our room steward who just started working on the ship THAT DAY WE GOT ON!!!!!!!!!! Even though it was a massive ship I still got to know alot of the crew and also certain people that we kept bumping into.

My kids ages 3 and 8 had a BLAST in the splash academy and never wanted to leave. We booked the cruise so our son would be 3 and he would be able to go in the splash academy as on our cruise before this one he was 2 and we had NO fee time. On this cruise we had so much free time that we could actually relax and enjoy ourselves.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BC

On our past cruises we have always had inside rooms and for this cruise we got upgraded to a balcony and it was AMAZING. We will never go back to an inside room. It was like having my own private deck where i didn't have to hassle with anyone else. I definitely suggest it.
