This was our 12th cruise. This trip was an opportunity for us to relax and get away from the cell phones for a week. We were very lucky as I requested the Chef's Table early enough to be selected. I have the highest praises for Joel S. Directo, Executive Chef, Balbiana Angelo, Maitre'D and Simon (from Rumania), Chief Waiter. After a fairly in-depth tour, the 'Table' started in the kitchen and proceeded to the main dining room. What the chefs can do with food is pure magic. The food and presentation was beyond anything we have ever seen before. With each course, a correct wine and a full briefing by the 'executive team' was presented. It was a one-in-a-lifetime event for us. As a side note, during the initial Chef's Table briefing, our dining luck continued as I heard something called the "Crab Shack." We signed up moments after. It did cost an extra $20 per person, but the dinner was well worth it. My wife had a bowl holding (about) two pounds of King Crab with a boiled red potato -- I had the (about ) 2 pounds of Snow Crab with mussels, clams, [some] King Crab and the potato. There were two other selections as well. If it is available on your cruise, I recommend you try to experience both of these dining opportunities.

C244 is mid-ship, port side. It met our needs. The only negative was the odor that (sometimes) hung about the bathroom. The balcony gave us an quiet, semi-private area to sip wine while watching the clouds go by. Although I'm sure it wasn't needed, we brought a two-pound bag of mini candies for the man who took care of the room. He and everyone else we met were very professional (and friendly) the entire trip.
