We just came off the Norwegian Sky. This was my second time sailing on Norwegian and my last! We were with 10 family members.

From the minute we got to the port of Miami until the time we returned. We were waiting for about an hour for a wheel chair for my mother which never arrived. Check in was so unorganized it took forever. My mother ended up walking with her cane all the way onto the ship almost falling numerous times. We finally get onto the 11th floor for the buffet and there was not enough chairs or tables. Now my mother is still walking with us back and forth to find a table. She was so exhausted and I just wanted her to sit down. Finally after a LONG time, my son found us a table but not until after he handed someone in the buffet some money. There was definitely not enough seating for as many people who got on the ship. The food was horrible, maybe there was one or two things that were ok but not much.

We had a reservation for 6pm in the Crossings dining room. Dinner took at least 2 hours, the dining room was also very unorganized and they forgot to bring my sister's salad. It was her first cruise so she didn't know to ask about it, she thought it would eventually arrive which it didn't . The food there was not very good either. The rest of the cruise did not get any better. The food on the buffet was the same pretty much everyday. The dining room experience was the same the next night so the 3rd night we tried to change the reservation to the other dining room. The girl there, she had a badge but no uniform whatsoever told my husband to call an extension to make reservation. He called and when he said what he wanted, he heard laughing over the phone and could see the girl who just told him to call the extension and another one laughing behind the counter on the phone. That was very unprofessional. After the first morning on the cruise the buffet ran out of chocolate milk and fruit loops. I have never been on a cruise where they run out of those things. On the 3rd night, we decided to eat at the buffet because the garden buffet was supposed to be a "kids buffet". Well, the only thing my granddaughter would eat was chicken fingers and they were out if them by 8pm. The buffet was from 6:30 to 8:30! They said they didn't have anymore which was ridiculous so my husband went and got the person in charge and they made some for her. It was probably close to 8:30 when we finally got them. Then they had the crepe and ice cream bar, of course they ran out of chocolate ice cream and the crepes were disgusting. The steak in the dining room was so thin and too well done no matter how we asked for it cooked. The 3 stops we made were ok but of course the food on the island was the same as on the boat. Hamburgers, hotdogs and chicken & pizza. EVERYDAY the SAME food! Customer service was horrible, they lied to us on more than one occasion. The rooms were so tiny, we were told there was going to be a little sofa in our cabin as well as the other three but only one room had a sofa. There were a lot of rude staff members on board. We felt like if the ship was sinking, the crew would have gotten off first and left us there to fend for ourselves. The best part of the cruise was our room steward, Maricel Sarimiento. I forgot to mention while on line at the buffet, they wanted to close so they kicked us off the line and took away the food my husband was trying to take and threw it away.

Cabin Review

The room was tiny, smaller than any other I have ever had on Carnival or Royal carrabean. The ncl travel agent had lied to us and told us there was supposed to be a little sofa in all of our rooms. Only 1 room had one. The best thing on our ship was our steward, Maricel Sarmiento, she was the best!
