If you like expensive drinks, poor food quality and very little customer service this ship is for you. Not all was bad, but the majority of it was. Let's start with the good - our cabin was on the 12th floor Serenity Deck and it was wonderful, We enjoyed the "adult only" deck although the pool was way too small. Our room steward was the best we have had on any of our cruises, and that's quite a few. The ports of call were great, enjoyed them all; the best food is on shore.
Within 10 minutes of entering the ship there was a power loss, no air conditioning, no elevators, only emergency lighting. We asked two workers and were told it was routine, only to find out later by the captain that the power problem had been fixed. I think we were lied to. Most elevators were out, and that required a lot of walking up and down stairs. Even after power was restored, elevators above the 10th floor did not work, requiring more walking. Once those elevators were fixed they were taken over by staff for luggage delivery, more climbing the stairs. The elevators going to the serenity/spa deck were hit and miss the whole trip.
We chose anytime dining; first you must check in on deck 5, walk through the casino, walk through a room that smells like a septic tank to check in, then proceed to deck 3. Don't worry about losing your appetite if you haven't already from the sewer smell, you will when they serve dinner. Dinner every night took 1 hour and 45 minutes to 2 hours. The food tasted the same every night, everything had a brown, thick gravy on it. Soups, shrimp cocktail, and salads were good. Service was acceptable, but no one wanted to go out of their way for you. We sat at the back near a window, sad thing is the window was so dirty from the inside that you couldn't see out. Eating on the lido deck burrito station was good; can't say much for the buffet it was just O.K. Hardest thing was trying to find a clean table to sit.
I loved my cabin on the spa/serenity deck. This was a great quiet room with the best room steward I've ever had on any cruise. Thank you Dennis for making our cruise.
