We book the 12 Night Venice Overnight cruise as part of our Honeymoon. Having never been on a cruise before we were both a bit hesitant about how much we would really enjoy it. I figured we would either love it or hate it, and it turned out to be the most relaxing and best holiday we have ever been on.

The entire ship was in fantastic condition, lots of big open spaces and lovely areas to relax and get into the holiday spirit. Even though we were on board for 12 nights I am pretty sure we didn't get to eat at all the restaurants so anybody thinking they are going to feel trapped or bored - there is plenty to do on the ship. Anybody who complains about the standard of the ship must be very picky indeed as we have stayed in some special hotels and I could not find fault with the ship.

Nightlife was pretty dull for all except one night but then we realised when we booked that the crowd tends to be a little older. We did a shore excursion where a member of staff came along and they said that the longer the cruise the older the crowd, so if you are looking for more of a party atmosphere a shorter cruise may be a better option. We loved having 12 days to just relax and kick back, and never having to unpack while getting to visit so many different places was great. Never felt any motion sickness, in fact most of the time I forgot I was on a ship at all.

Cabin Review

The Suite we stayed in was beautiful, very roomy with plenty of room. The lounge area is fantastic, and the L shaped lounge was great for stretching out and watching a few movies on lazy days. Balcony was a great size and provided lots of natural light into the cabin. The bed was extremely comfortable and walk in robe was handy for extra space.. Only let down was the bathroom, which while spacious enough has a bath/shower combination with a shower curtain. The shower curtain has a tendency to stick to you while showering, but other than that really can't complain!
