Ruby Princess Cruise Review by ggtirevite
- Sail Date: November 2013
- Destination: Mediterranean
Everyone was friendly and helpful. Had a great experience at the steakhouse dining, where our waitress was very funny and knowledgeable.
We signed up for anytime dining, and it was easy to reserve a table for 2 at the time of our choosing. Although the food is still hotel style, it was the best so far (compared to Disney, MSC and Norwegian). There was a seafood dinner on night, very nice. When my wife ordered beef, they asked how would she liked it cooked and it came that way. Decent wine list.
We thoroughly enjoyed Corfu and Dubrovnik, which we did on our own (no excursions). We love Venice, having been there once before. We skipped one port (Katakolon/Olympia) due to weather, but the Commodore kept us informed all the way.
Limited options for Duty Free alcohol (not the worst thing, but we usually bring back). Entertainment options clearly targeting the 65+ set, not much variety.
Biggest balcony so far in my cruising experience (4 chairs), and sizable closet area. Usual bedroom and bathroom, shower. Located in mid ship, minimal movement when seas were more choppy. Not located near any restaurants/clubs, so no noticeable noise. Very close to mid-ship elevators. And our cabin person was extremely friendly!
