Our trip started out very disappointing! This was our first cruise and we were very excited to go on the cruise. The staff checking in was courteous and helpful however once we boarded the ship we were on our own to locate our cabin. There was not any direction on locating elevators or anyone to answer questions. Our room was not ready when we boarded but the room stewart let us leave our luggage and directed us to the lido deck. We found the lido deck and was shocked at the size of the pools. The Carnival Glory boasts 4 pools. The pools were so small I thought they were the hot tubs! We made our way into the Red Sail restaurant and found cafeteria style food. The food also tasted like cafeteria food. The best food on the ship other than in the dinning room is the Pizza and the Fish and Chips. The food in the dinning room was much better that what we had expected however the portions are very small but very good all the same. Our room was what we had expected small but very clean and very cozy. We had an inside room and it was very nice. Small but very nice.

The service on board was mediocre with the exception of the dinning room and the room stewart which were outstanding.

The first day we experienced many disappointments. Once we accepted these disappointments we were able to move on a have a fun time.
