the ship itself was understated and at places needed minor maintainence .the service aboard this ship was excellent. the staterooms we had (7135 and 7143) we were well sized and we had sufficient room to move around. 7143 was an aft stateroom and was very spacious. the rooms were kept spic n span.

now lets get to the interesting part...the food !!! being vegetarians majorly limited our choices. they had printed menus for indian vegetarian fare so that was very encouraging. one had to credit them for trying. the problem was that the food didnt taste like it was cooked by anyone remotely indian ! the indian breads were tough to eat. i got talking to a couple of indian chefs onboard and the poor dears said they didnt have the ingredients for an indian meal. holland america seriously should consider stocking up for its indian passengers (and there were quite a few). even the non indians often like indian fare. but with all their limitations...they took wonderful care of us. the cutlery though does need better cleaning !
