Carnival Breeze Cruise Review by landseaandair
- Sail Date: March 2013
- Destination: Southern Caribbean
First of all the ship is nice and lots for the kids to do. My only complaint about the actual ship is the layout on deck 3 & 4 with the dining room in the middle of the ship. You can't get through so you end up going up and then down and if that isn't bad enough they let the photo gallery close off the only walkway!!!
Here is the problem with Carnival, they are cutting so many corners to save money that the cruise experience is ruined. The beds are now rock hard (and the sofa is even harder), when they use to be one of the most comfortable. The cruise was 8 days, 3 days at sea and the entertainment was terrible! There were 2 nights with no shows, one night was a comedy juggler, one night hypothesis, the rest was the ships singers and dancers. It use to be only one night of the ship's singers and dancers! This is the first cruise that we had no entertainment for the evening!! The only good thing was the LOVESOULJAZ band that were great but only had a little side area to perform in with very little seating.
The next big disappointment was the dining room. The menu was very limited, very few new items each night. Food was terrible quality and service poor. There was not one night when someone at our table did not get something they ordered. The kids meals either came out way early or way late. With mandatory tipping I guess the serving staff just doesn't care anymore. In fact the waiter on the last day for breakfast was just plain rude! Food on the Lido deck was better but they didn't accommodate the port times. We got into one port at noon but they didn't start serving lunch until noon! Another port we left at 7:00 but they only had pizza and deli open for dinner! Really! How do they expect you to eat?
Also no more towels or water when you are getting back on the ship. When you are leaving the ship you always get a survey to fill out, not this time. Apparently Carnival doesn't care about their customers anymore.

NassauThis is another port we could of spent more time at but Carnival doesn't want to pay the extra port charges so they just cruise slower and get there at noon. Atlantis is really cool to see and the beach is great. Wish we could of had more time to looked around longer.View All 5,876 Nassau Cruise Port Reviews

TortolaWe took the ferry to Virgin Gorda to see the Baths. I had read that this was a must see and they were right! I just wish this port had more time. We left at 3:30 so with the ferry schedule we only had a short time to spend exploring the rocks and caves. Beautiful beach and lots of fun climbing and snorkeling through the rocks.View All 1,378 Tortola Cruise Port Reviews
