Our 14-day crossing on The Liberty was excellent. We were very surprised at the quality of the food. It was "cuisine" with beef tenderloin offered almost every night, along with shrimp and other sea foods, lamb, veal, pork, and vegetarian selections. The dining room staff was excellent. We had all the latte coffee and other specialty coffees one could ask for every night to accompany great deserts. I would not suggest going to the more expensive ($30pp sur charge) for dinner. It was basically the same foods with a fancy delivery and wordy explanation of preparation.
The buffets were also well done; food choices constantly freshened and hot or cold, as should be. Dessert selections excellent. Fish and Chips, pizza, and hamburgers good. The deli was our least favorite. The quality of deli meat selections was good, but staff making sandwiches needed a bit more exposure to what a "New York" style deli sandwich really looks like.
Although we did not have any children with us, the facilities for kids on The Liberty are excellent. Normally there are 600-900 children on these cruises, especially during holidays. However, this particular sailing had only 30 children. Very unusual.
