We have sailed on 20 cruises starting in 1976 with the Carnival Mardi Gras. We have been on the NCL's Jewel,Pearl, and Epic. Don't be put off by the negative comments. This is a fine ship with a very friendly and hard working crew. The food is good and the entertainment among the best we have seen and that includes the Allure of the Seas we sailed on last year with our kids and grandkids.
Some things to consider: eat breakfast and lunch in the Aloha Cafe and earlier than later; skip the Skyline and go upstairs to Liberty which is the same menu but better trained staff; eat a few dinners at the Aloha cafe after the first two days as you will get a better selection and serve yourself quickly; the entertainment first show is at 7:15pm which is very convenient and gets it out of the way early for your other ship activities--an excellent time and the seats are highback and very comfortable; the ship spends 30 minutes going along the Na Pali very close to the shore-- this is sensational.
You will like this ship. People that find fault most likely find fault with many things in life.
Our cabin was very comfortable with good storage and a great shower
