Got a good deal on a cruise for my wife, daughters and their respective beaus' so we decided to take a family vacation from the Pacific Northwest to the Hot Caribbean, and hot it was. The ship was very clean and well kept up and the staff was exceptionally pleasant throughout. Matt the cruise director and his first mate Andy were great and very entertaining and kept us in stiches the whole time we were on board. Our room steward was never far from sight and the room was always impeccable. Food was good but it has digressed form the Princess of 15 years ago but I guess that is true of a lot of things as the accountants take over. Overall the cruise was great and we all had a wonderful time and the Caribbean Princess is a well run well kept ship. We would cruise again on her without hesitation. Read Less

I love Princess! Rooms are amazing, and the beds are more comfortable than my own. Staff pampers you and there are many great things to do. We are already planning our next Princess cruise. Princess is our preferred criuse line. Took a 14 day European cruise on Princess last year as well and was amazed with the ship experience as well as the excursions. You can relax and enjoy your time and thete is something to do for all ages. The only way to vacation for me now will be cruising. Pools, casino, ocean view, great food, bingo, and night time entertainment all wrapped up in one. It is even better with the medallion, makes everything so easy. Love the room service and speed and quality of the food. Lookung forward to the many many more cruises I will be taking with princess. Bon voyage until we cruise again. Thank you Read Less

We chose our cabin after my husband researched the aft ones. The view could not be beat, as one can see almost all of the port or other islands. Embarkation/Disembarkation was worse than going through TSA at any airport hub. It totally should have taken a lot less than the 30 minutes, coming and going in Port Everglades. Our cabin did not disappoint, as it had lots of closet spaces and plenty of drawers. However, the bathroom could have used an extra sink and some shelves for toiletry storage. The bathtub, with its jets was a complete dream. So good for a soak and rest! Wished that I could have folded it up, and put in the suitcases! The shower was a good one, with a great showerhead that could be adjusted for different streams. The overall shower needed to have a different kind of door that sealed, as there was a stream of water that escaped out the bottom and flooded the bathroom! Dining did not disappoint...plenty of venues and choices. Whether your tastes run to steak, seafood or ice cream, it was all good. The wait staffs and managers were totally top notch!! We had one of our shore excursions cancel, due to nature, and the others were a complete surprise with the places we saw and areas we viewed! Would do it again in a heartbeat!! Read Less

I do have to admit a bit of bias for this one- my wife and I got married on this cruise, so we received outstanding extra treatment by the ship's staff including the Captain- Mario Ciruzzi. That said- I saw a lot of mixed reviews for this ship before we headed out. It is smaller than the Royal Class ships I had been on before, but in some ways that made it nicer. It wasn't quite as crowded and was at least slightly easier to get around. We got a mini-suite stateroom (D715) and were very surprised at how much room it had. The cabin was very comfortable with two nice flat-screen TVs and an air conditioning system that actually worked (unlike my previous cruise). Medallion Class embarkation was just as-advertised. After a quick passport check and scanning in our medallions, we went to a nice waiting lounge for the ship to start boarding. It was a lot easier and faster than the old cruise card check-in process. Once we boarded- we explored the ship to figure out where everything was. We went up to check out where our stateroom was, and our steward already had it finished (almost an hour early!). As I said in my summary above- we were very surprised at how much space it actually had. We LOVED the large bathroom and sitting area, and extra-large balcony. The furnishings and ship itself are a bit dated. While the electronic systems have all been updated, the furnishings and decor are a bit older and showing some wear. Everything was clean and in good condition though. Most of the lighting is fluorescent, which I found a bit annoying compared to the instant-on LED lighting of the newer ships. Things I loved about the ship: Lots of pools! They have a Sanctuary pool, but beside it- there are two large main pools and one adults-only pool on the aft side of the ship, along with hot tubs at all of them. This gave us a lot of options for different music and crowds while we were onboard. I think the Explorer's Lounge is an upgrade from "Princess Live" on other ships. Very nice bar area and lounge, with frequent entertainment options. Skywalkers. It has kind of a 70s vibe and I'm not really into dancing, but it is a unique feature that I thought was fun and special about this ship. Negatives: The only real negative I have, which I have complained about before, is the almost-constant marketing, in particular from Effy. Beyond that- the "usual" complaints pretty much everyone has about a cruise ship- I felt like I spent way too much time waiting for lifts, and the food choices, particularly in the buffet, weren't the greatest. The latter is really subjective though. Princess Cays: I complained a lot about this place on my last cruise. This one was better. It was actually raining pretty hard when we first got there, but it cleared up after an hour or so and we had a great time. We rented a clamshell/chairs and a paddleboat, and enjoyed a lot of beach time. The beach is rocky part-way out- so bring water shoes, but the sandy areas and water itself were wonderful. Bar service is still slow- they seem to be trying to implement medallions, but still do all of the orders on paper, which is very inefficient. The food was okay for what it was, and the service there was pretty fast. The only real feedback/complaint I have this time is they really need more showers and foot wash areas. We explored St. Thomas on our own, and overall had a great experience shopping and hanging out in the local bars and restaurants. We were supposed to go on a tour (not arranged by Princess) and the guy overbooked and took off 10 minutes before he was supposed to leave, so we missed it. Fortunately we didn't pay in advance! On St. Maarten we did the SXM Airport Adventure boat, booked through Princess. They had a great bar and food on the boat, and took us around to the bay in front of the famous Princess Juliana International Airport. We watched jets and other planes take off and land while enjoying great music, food, and drink. There was snorkeling and floating off of a platform attached to the boat, and the crew was fun and very helpful. I highly recommend that excursion. After that we explored the local shops and bars, and spent a couple of hours on the beach next to town. There are a few sections there where you can rent a beach umbrella and chairs cheap. (We paid $15 for an umbrella and two chairs for the afternoon.) Debarkation went even more smoothly, as they had "EZ-Check" to our airline (Southwest), so we checked our bags through to our destination from our cabin. I think it took less than 10 minutes from our cabin to the shuttle bus to the airport. This is a great service Princess offers if you can take advantage of it. Read Less

Honestly the best service, food and entertainment I’ve ever experienced on a cruise. St. Thomas and St. Maarten are still trying to recover from the hurricanes so I’m not going back there for a while. I would go on the same cruise again ASAP but I’d skip the off ship opportunities. If you are a music fan and or even a karaoke whore like I am, you will love their licensed version of the “Voice”. Princess has an exclusive and they do a great job with it. Of course there isn’t a big contract or check wait for the winner...just a keepsake trophy. I was a finalist and while I didn’t win, I did get to sing on stage to a packed house...lots of fun! Program alert...the food is awesome and everywhere all the time. Don’t go if you are on a diet! Don’t miss the production shows or the staged games like Marriage Match. They are worth the price of the cruise by themselves. Read Less

Production performance was very upbeat and well done. Broadway caliber! The Medallion Internet upgrade was very much an improvement on Princess. Internet was fast. You paid by the day and not by the minute which was a tremendous improvement! Passengers would wear a Medallion which could be a locator for other guests that you approve on your own app in advance. All parties have to approve of this. Also crew and waitstaff can fill orders right to you without them being present to take the order. You can use the Compass Locator to find a destination step by step. You can pull up the onboard event schedule. Food was great! Even the buffet had choice food with excellent presentations. Our luggage was in our room 1 hour later. Had friends that were first time cruisers on Princess and they were so impressed with everything. Day 2 was a sea day so lots of pool time. Then we did Sabatini's for dinner. Just awesome food and service. Day 3 Cozumel. Pool time in the morning then did a half day excursion. We had our own jeep and went to a private beach where a late lunch was provided, A local feast, so much food. Day 3, back to the pool for lots of cold beers and live entertainment. Such a fabulous trip and our friends were so glad we talked them into booking the cruise. Til next time, which will be very soon. Love Princess Cruises. Read Less

This was my 24th cruise, 3rd on Princess, 1st on this ship. My sister went with me. It was her 1st time on Princess. I choose this cruise because it was in May and it was a short cruise, and I wanted my sister to sail on Princess. Honestly, I read every review on this ship since January and I was more than a little scared about what I had read regarding the condition of the ship. But the purpose was to spend time with my sister so off we went. We flew down the night before and stayed at The Conrad. It was great. The next morning we went to the port at 12:30. We had already received our Medallions and had registered everything prior so we basically were able to walk on the ship. We immediately went up to the Sanctuary on deck 16 to reserve space. This cruise only had 1 port day and 3 sea days. All the loungers were booked (at 12:40) but the cabanas were available Cabanas are a bit pricey, at $140 for half day, but included several things, so we decided to spurge and booked the first and last mornings sessions. Next we went down a deck and ate lunch at the buffet. We walked the entire length of the buffet areas and found everything from the food to the service to the furnishings to be top quality and just excellent. The Planks and Steamers areas décor was beautiful and brand new. Now on to our guestroom. We booked a Club Class Mini Suite, D504 on the Dolphin Deck. When we walked up to the door, the door automatically unlocked, this was great, When we got inside I was SO HAPPY. Everything in the room was BRAND NEW. The beds were new, the carpet was new, the sofa and chairs were new, the drawers and their knobs were new, the TV's were new. In the bathroom the tub was new, the toilet was new, the shower doors and head were new, the floor tiles were new. After unpacking, we explored some of the ship. Just beautiful, everywhere we went everything looked pretty much brand new except for the theater. It didn't look bad, just a bit outdated and the chairs were very small. We went to the muster drill and then I had to go to the medical center because I left some medicine at the hotel and needed to get it replaced. The Doctor and her staff were nice. The cost to see the doctor (they would not just let me get the meds) was $95 plus the cost of the insulin pen $20. I was glad they had the medicine. First night of Club Class Dining- We went early and there was no wait. Service was wonderful and food was very good. We found out from our server that this ship had just spent the last month getting engine repairs and a face lift. That explains everything being brand new. I have to say that Princess must have listened to all the reviews, and they did something about it.. Also, whatever they did to the engines, we felt NO movement on this ship. We did not even have "sea legs" when we got off the ship, which was a first for me. First night show was a comedian. He was funny. Show started at 7:30 and was 90% full. Now, to the casino. I belong to the Princess poker player's club. I recommend this to everyone, as you get special deals emailed to you once in a while. Anyway, I like to play craps and poker. No one was at the poker table, so I played craps. There were only 3 of us playing, but I had a few long rolls. There was a gentleman playing a dragon slot machine right next to us who hit for $10,000. Lucky him! Off to bed. We had breakfast in the dining room. Disappointing. The choices were extremely limited. I ordered a ham and cheese omelet, which came with no ham or cheese. The second one was not much better. I think they just want everyone to go to the lido to breakfast. Off to the Sanctuary. Our cabana was very nice. It included a sofa, chair, 2 loungers, fruit bowl, TV, bar set up, welcome drink and lunch . This area has a great view and easy access to the spa pool. My sister doesn't drink, and I had the alcohol beverage package, so the bar set up was wasted on us, so they gave us a bottle of wine instead. They did take our lunch order too late so we didn't get it before we left. They chased after us saying they would bring it to us to a different location, but we passed on that. I did appreciate the effort. Now to a meeting. Before the cruise I had received an email and an opportunity to participate in a focus group on the ship. I got selected and went to this meeting located in a dining room. About 120 people, we were divided based on the survey we filled out. I was put in the celebrations group (my sister's birthday). The moderator was very good, asking several questions on lots of subjects. We were all able to express the good, the bad, and suggestions. My suggestion was to have some alcohol packages that were per day or a drink card with a certain number of drinks, instead of the whole cruise only package which is way too expensive for people who only want a couple drinks a day. And now the bad news. Starting the night before, I had been coughing and feeling just ok. Now, after this meeting, I met my sister and we had the pizza. It was voted best pizza at sea, and it is the best pizza I have ever had on a cruise. And then I started feeling worse and worse and worse. Bottom line, I went back to the medical clinic. I had a bad sinus infection. The doctor gave me a z pack and Benadryl. I hardly was able to leave my stateroom after that. I only left to get something to eat. We had reservations at the steakhouse that night. We went and it was good, but then I went back to the room. I was coughing so much and so loud that I didn't want to ruin a show and didn't even feel well enough to gamble, which is really saying something. My sister and I had been looking forward to this cruise for months. We don't get to spend much time together and this was going to be extra special being her birthday. We didn't get to see any other shows or even visit some of the nightclubs. My sister stayed with me and read on her ipad. We did not use our cabana on the last sea day, but some one came to our cabin and told us they would not charge us. That was very nice. My sister and I did get to talk and be with each other, which was what we wanted from this cruise. So even with missing out on most of the activities on this now brand new beautiful ship, we both had a great cruise. I would highly recommend this ship. Read Less

We chose the first 4 night adventure after Caribbean Princess had a several week yard period to get a preview of the Caribbean Princess for a later cruise and are very happy we did with using the Medallion. We registered before the cruise date and had our Medallions delivered to our home and embarkation was a breeze. We had no issues with the Medallions during the cruise and we were surprised with what some of the features were with them. The ability to use the directions and use the 2-D feature on the screens helped us find our way around the ship quickly. The entertainment was very good; the Fantastic Journey production show was not very good. The songs were hard to understand and there just seemed to be no sense to the production. The comic was funny and we went to his show in Club Fusion also and it was better in a very small venue vice the theater. The magician was also very good having been on Americas Got Talent a few seasons ago. The food was typical Princess, always good and a great variety. Our one stop was in Cozumel, enough said. We have a 10 day Panama Canal cruise in March 2020 on the Caribbean and are very much looking forward to that cruise after experiencing using the Medallion. Read Less

This was my second cruise with Princess can't say enough good things about it. Princess provides an exceptional experience from the beginning to the end, they honestly think of every detail. We stayed one night in Florida, which made our travel to the ship so much better as we were not exhausted from traveling once we were on the ship. There is plenty to do on board, entertainment at just the right times and time to relax and do your own thing. The spa is amazing, casino and bars were fun, pool time was great - several to choose from and each with a different experience (music, TV, quiet...), entertainment/activities were also really good. So much to choose from, you have to plan your day/activities. The shows at night were so impressive, very talented singers and dancers! Excursions at the islands were so fun! I would recommend the Catameran cruise and snorkling - best time! (Castaway Girl was fantastic at St. Thomas! as was Swimming with the Stingrays on Cays Island) Dining, food and overall service is excellent. Plan to eat one night at the Italian restaurant, it was amazing, best meal we had! Princess does a great job of providing a wonderful dining experience while also serving really great food. I will definately travel with Princess again, such a great cruise! Read Less

Club Class dining was really special. You can show up whenever you want and you are seated immediatel by the hostess. The extra attention by the waiter, assistant waiter and the MaitreD was appreciated and the special dishes prepared were very enjoyable. It is going to be difficult to go back to dining in the MDR after being spoiled like we were. Princess Cays is always a great Port to visit. A great couple of hours swimming and relaxing on the beach plus enjoying the barbecue lunch, really kicked off the start of a great cruise. 2nd time on this ship. It was great. Western and Eastern Caribbean. Both 7 day sections had an age range from mid 30's to mid 60's. Not the kind of ship for under 18, not much to do for that age range. But plenty to do for everyone else. You can hide yourself in total isolation away from crowds to submerging into non stop activities. Anytime Dining was rarely a wait, the Horizon Court buffet always had a great selection. My favorite was the suchi bowls. Lunch time they had noodle bowls. Ate all venues at least once except Sabatinis Italian. Staff was great. Our cabin steward was like stealth, we forgot something in the cabin, and went back 20 minutes later and the cabin was already immaculate. Went to some shows, all were good, but, the comedian was the best. Filled every venue he performed at for 2 nights. Though these cruises were sold out, the ship never seemed crowded. Sea days were the busiest around the pool but if you looked, I always found a deck chair. My wife and I couldn't understand why so many people were on their phones nonstop. Your on vacation people. The medallion that you use to pay and get in your cabin works great even though we didnt bother with downloading everything before our cruise. One scary thing about downloading all the apps on your phone is you can download the casino and play slots with your money anywhere on the ship. And you use your medallion in the casino and just charge it to the cabin. Make sure to control yourself, or your trip could get pricey. The ship was heading to drydock after our cruise to get some upgrades and fix an engine problem that would make the back of the ship vibrate slightly at full speed. Something that has lasted 3 years or so. The only bad thing was we had to leave. Going through withdrawal as my room isn't cleaned twice a day. Read Less

We are seniors who love cruising, often staying on board while in port. We rarely avail ourselves to bingo, art auctions, or trivia, preferring the relaxing experience of cruising and the excellent service & food. Our loyalty to Princess gives us elite status, so we enjoy the free laundry and internet, not to mention(But I am about to) the mini bar set ups & shop discounts. We truly come back new & packing for our next trip. Our only regret is that we have to travel to FT, Lauderdale to embark, so we often choose another cruise line for the convenience of a home port. While we enjoy the other lines they do not have the music we enjoy, nor do we receive the perks. The new Medallion class is great!!! The door opens as you approach the stateroom. We chose this cruise because of the itinerary (stops in Grand Cayman, Roatan, Belize, and Cozumel) and the fact that it was recently refurbished. It was also a great price since we booked six months prior. This cruise was during our daughter's Spring Break as well as her 16th birthday. She was very excited to travel to so many Caribbean countries in one week. As for the ship itself, we took a Princess cruise to Alaska in 2013 and were very surprised to find the Caribbean Princess had the exact same layout as the one we sailed on then (don't recall the name). It made things easier to find as it was familiar to us, but it was slightly disappointing to feel like we'd been here before after so many years. We wanted an aft facing mini-suite but they were sold out even six months in advance, so we ended up midship. This was absolutely fine, but I think the aft facing provides the best views since you can see both side of the ship while in port. As for the food, the Coral and Islands dining rooms had good decor, great service, and a nice menu. We ate in the Crown dining room for our daughter's birthday and had excellent service and food (the filet Mignon was the best). Well worth the extra $29 per person. We also ate in Steamers, but weren't impressed. The menu is intentionally extremely limited (only clams or fried seafood, nothing broiled) and the placement of the restaurant is where the ship rumbles and shakes during the whole meal. Not worth the extra $12 per person, for us. The International Marketplace buffet was fresh and tasty and we didn't grow bored as the selection kept changing (veggie lasagna was the best!) Entertainment was the best by far of my five previous cruises. The dancing and singing were top notch and the Voice of the Ocean competition was well done (congrats to Hannah on her win for Abba's Dancing Queen!) Most activities were targeted for the very old (e.g. arts and crafts). Average age was 65, I’d guess. Also, each time there was something we were interested in seeing it was at 9:00 a.m. after a late night, so we didn't attend anything other than Bingo and that was as expected. Finally, I was pleasantly surprised at the Casino's selection of slots and variety of table games. I enjoyed myself at the Casino three of the nights (even though I didn't end up winning - big surprise). One downside of this itinerary on Princess is you change clocks four times. Twice one hour behind, then twice one hour ahead. Made for a wonky jet lag experience every morning. On Carnival, we stayed on ship’s time no matter the port time. All in all, it was a wonderful vacation. Read Less

Itinerary was one of the main reasons to go on the Caribbean Prince. We have already cruised on this ship and loved it. We were celebrating a few things. My wife's Birthday, my 70th Birthday, and our 25th Weddings Anniversary. First time getting a larger suite, mainly for the size of the room and balcony. Was a little disappointed in the suite, because of the noise, no sun, sleeper sofa, and closet door making so much noise. Also my wife got her finger slammed in the door. Loved San Juan going to the Bacardi Rum distillery was the best your ever. Wish we had more time there to see more of New San Juan. The staff and service was great. Loved going to the Club Class restaurant every night. Everyone was so polite and helpful, all the way from the wait staff to the head chef. So happy with the new Medallion set up. I intend to book many more cruises with this line . Everything I have experienced on board was up to the standard I expected each time I sailed. I enjoyed the on board amenities and the ports that were visited, Many of the ports have been built to make sightseeing and shopping a pleasure . I'm looking forward to my next cruise and a great time on board. I have found the service and the crew to be excellent , they go out of their way to make your onboard experience a pleasure . We've done many cruises with Princess so we wee not surprised that this one was so lovely. This is our second voyage using Club Class and it is worth every extra penny. The ease of dining, the uptick in service and food choices and those incredibly comfortable beds make it our favorite at sea experience. LOVED the ease of Medallion class. While it still has a few bugs in the Internet, it is much improved from previous experiences. Service is what Princess does best and it did not disappoint on this voyage. Having been on cruises before where there were long waits to embark, and long waits to get into the cabin, and what seemed like endless waits to get baggage, it all goes so smoothly it's hard to believe there are 3,000 other passengers. Since this trip was during spring break we saw lots of families on board, which we love to see. Any cruise is what you make it, but with the staff of the Caribbean Princess, it was easy to make it a perfect vacation. Read Less

Our week onboard was wonderful, good food, very nice staff, fun excursions. Cruise director Matt was a great guy, encouraging us to have fun and enjoy our vacation. Embarkation was easy even though we did not upload all our data on the Medallion ahead of time (my phone is too old to download app). Our room was very nice and the bed was really comfortable. Cabin steward Elmer was so friendly and helpful. Disembarkation was equally efficient. Medallion worked perfectly, although we needed 2 visits to the help desk to figure out how to use the internet. Once we got the hang of it we were fine. Our bill was accurate, no odd charges. Entertainment was very good. We enjoyed all the shows, and noted that if you want to go to the 7:30 show you should show up by 7 to get a decent seat. Shows were full by 7:15 every night. Did not do the movies by the pool, but other folks really enjoyed them. The sales staff did not browbeat you to buy things, we attended a meeting to learn about shopping in the ports which was fun and lots of people won nice prizes. Art show activities almost every day, if you like that. The big buffet upstairs had a huge selection of food, and you could also get a nice choice of food in the coffee area on the 5th floor. A very large latte was $3.50, so you can decide if the coffee card is worth it for you. We could not drink enough to justify the liquor package, and I doubt we drank enough for the soda package that we did buy. Princess says they have an IPA beer, but they do not. We had anytime dining and never waited in line, although if you want to eat at 7pm you will most likely have a line. The food was good, sometimes the ingredients were a bit weird for my taste. the mussels were way too salty and the lobster very small. Steak choices were good. Shrimp cocktail was 4-5 very tiny frozen shrimp. Dessert looked good, but were so-so. Anything hazelnut was good, and the pistachio pudding was the best. We used a ship excursion for the twister boat at Cozumel and it was a blast!! Arranged our own trips in Roatan and Costa Maya, and Grand Cayman. We had a wonderful time and I would book Princess again in a minute! Read Less

Matt the Cruise Director was awesome. The cruise has a lot of entertainment to watch and be part of. I was pleased with all the food options, the only food option I was not pleased with was the lobster dinner on the last formal night. I did not like the lobster served with green risotto and a cream sauce and didn't feel that was a full dinner when you compare to the other dinner options that were served pervious nights. All the staff was very helpful and friendly. Our cabin was always clean . The entertainment was wonderful I really enjoyed the ship dancers. My favorite band was Symphonee. The Live DJ played music for all ages and was great getting the crowd involved. The cruise director staff made my 1st cruise very memorable and fun .I loved watching the marriage match show. For my 1st cruise I would defiantly cruise with Princess again. Read Less

We chose this 7 day cruise as it fit in with our March Break schedule. Since my husband and I both work for a school board, we wanted a quieter, more adult only cruise to relax and unwind. We love your hashtag # comebacknew as Princess definitely delivers. The ports of call suited our need to explore the area before returning back to the ship. Princess Cays was a perfect beach day. A beautiful little spot with a bbq lunch and bar service. We rented a clamshell for some much needed shade. The anytime dining had a great selection that accommodated our vegetarian lifestyle. Friendly wait staff and delicious food. The best creme caramel I have ever had. Sabatini’s delivered a rich and delicious multi course meal with vegetarian options as well. We truly felt spoiled. The adult only pools offered a quieter spot for us to cool off from suntanning and reading. I truly enjoyed 3 treatments at The Lotus Spa while I was aboard The Caribbean Princess. I almost fell asleep. A great way to relax and unwind. We’ve already left a deposit and are planning our next Princess Cruise. Read Less

Everything was incredible!! They make you feel like family and you never want to leave the ship! The food was world class and the service on the ship was otherworldly, the drinks on board were incredible and allowed you to venture into a whole other culture and a whole other world of excitement! It is a wonderful mix of people and every passenger on board was so fun and excited and so sweet to everyone else. The stage shows that they put on our like a broadway musical and the performers can sing with the best of them! They have a full range of things for you to do whether it’s hanging by the 5 pools and jacuzzi’s they have, learning about the many secrets of pirate treasure, world class shopping with incredible deals, or anything else you can think of, there is never ever a dull moment. Everything was so smooth especially with their new medallion you use for everything!! It is the best thing out there!! 100% recommend!!! Read Less

We enjoy Princess because it fits our style as a couple: Princess ships are fundamentally ships, not floating amusement parks. The decor is very pleasant, particularly the piazza area. The balcony cabins are comfortable, and we find the food to be excellent. Regarding dining, we enjoy the buffet for breakfast and dinner, but use the main dining rooms in the evening. We will never sail with a cruise line that does not have open dining with tables for two, such as Princess's "Anytime Dining". Particularly on this cruise, getting a table was never a problem. The food and service in the main dining rooms were fine. We happened to receive a complimentary dinner in Sabatini's Italian restaurant, and were VERY impressed. Nex time we will be happy to pay the $25 each. The International Cafe and coffee bar is a highlight for us. The specialty coffees are reasonably priced and quite good, and the snacks and pastries are excellent. This ship had the new "Medallion" feature and vastly upgraded internet service. The medallion made embarkation go very smoothly and quickly and the internet service was almost like land-based wifi in its speed. Of course it is not free, but a much better value than the previous glacially slow service. Some of the ports were new to us: Belize and Roatan. In Roatan we just walked to the adjacent beach for free - very pleasant. In Belize (a long tender trip from ship to shore) we took the excursion to the Altun Ha ruins and were quite impressed. It is a treat to be able to climb on the pyramids, and seeing a little of Belize on the way was interesting. Read Less
