Great cruise to experience the Panama Canal

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Norwegian Bliss

The NCL Bliss exceeded our expectations and is an upgrade f.i. compared with the NCL Getaway. It is a busy ship, but restaurants and pools are always accessable without waiting. Lots of loungers available at the pool, even on seedays! Dining is a very nice experience, we special liked dining at Los Lobos, Ocean Blue and Cagney's. Complementary dining at Savor or Taste was nice, good menu's ...

We recently sailed on the bliss through the Panama Canal. From L.A. to Miami. Norwegian picked us up at the airport. The Staff were still learning the ropes. Some confusion about where to board the bus to the ship. Had to walk to a second area to reach the bus. Only one person was injured boarding the bus. As usual there were a lot of people waiting to board the ship. Embarking was not ...

We sailed on the Bliss Jan 22/23 Los Angeles Round trip. The rumour was the boat was well over standard occupancy and was around 4700 people. Let’s start with the positives. Our room was outstanding, we have a four year old so we opted for the family ocean view room on deck five close to the kids club. This room is very spacious, well thought out storage and design wise and comes with a bath ...

Worst NCL cruise we've been on

This was our 3rd or 4th NCL cruise and we were on the sister ship of this one back in Feb of 2020. But the experience this time was terrible. Embarkation was the most frustrating ever. We waited in long lines out in the sun for a couple of hours with no info from any NCL staff or port staff. No idea which line was the right one. No idea what the delay was. Extremely confusing and ...

Don't waste your money and time with this cruise line

The cruise was the worst cruise we have ever taken. I’ve been on many cruises with Norwegian and this was horrible. My partner got was sick from the food at Cagney's, the salad, and they denied it and the front desk staff didn't care, we were at sea. We didn’t bring our own food. The lettuce at the buffet disappeared the next day on the ship until we reach Ensenada, there were only the toppings ...

Not a great time for us and we love NCL!

We picked this cruise because we've never done a west coast before. Never again Let us start with the embarkment process. Our time was 11 am and we arrived at 10:45 am. We waited outside in the Sun for 3 hours before we could get on the ship. We have done over 10 cruises with other cruise lines and 3 or 4 with NCL. Never seen anything like this. The line to get on the ship was longer than ...

NCL is my first choice

This cruise was tied to our dream trip to see the Rose Bowl Parade in person. We got a great price for the Haven suite. The food was outstanding (we do not partake of the general buffet) and the speciality restaurants were fantastic. My only food complaint (and I made this known to NCL) was that the dinner menu in The Haven never changed. That is why we chose a speciality restaurant 3 times ...

We had not yet sailed through the Panama Canal and were looking forward to the highlight of the trip. We began in San Pedro (LA) and stopped at various ports along the Mexican Riviera until it was time to pass through the canal. The itinerary indicated that we would be treated with a daytime passage, which was true, but we were disappointed when we were passing under the Bridge of the Americas in ...

NCL DISAPPOINTS AGAIN

Although our Baltic cruise in 2017 on the NCL Getaway left us unhappy, we thought we would give NCL another try. That was a mistake! EMBARCATION -- A breeze. We were onboard quickly and without fuss. CABIN -- We were in cabin 10872, a starboard-side balcony room near the rear staircase. Since the ship had only two banks of stairs/elevators, anyone in mid-deck cabins constantly faced ...

15 Nights from Los Angeles to Miami - through the Panama Canal

The Panama Canal was on our bucket-list, and this cruise left from near our home... too easy. I traveled with my husband of 43 years. We have cruised many, many times, but this was our first NCL cruise. EMBARKATION: Our son-in-law dropped us off on the pier, and we rolled our bags (we each had one carry-on bag and one "personal item" bag - we traveled this way to make our flight home from Miami ...
