Just arrived home from a week in the Ffiords what a waste of money.Embarkation was excellent very fast and we were on the ship. Our balcony cabin room A715 was small but cosy spotlessly clean and excellent service from Stevely our cabin steward. The decks on the ship were nice with plenty of loungers. The only swimming pool was open deck and only 2 jacuzzis which you could never get in not enough for ...
Just returned from Norwegian Fjords cruise.
Embarkation from Southampton, which was good and easy
The ship is new therefore its clean and nice.
Our balcony cabin was good.
Well as for most of the staff, not sure what to actually say without being rude.
We had Freedom dinning which we were told to dine in the Meridian dinning room.
We found the quality of food very poor and ...
Embarkation was extremely efficient , we were out of the cab and in our cabin within 60 minutes, very slick.
The cabin was quite small , but there was plenty of hanging and shelf space . The en suite had a proper shower cubicle ( no curtains) , water pressure was high . The TV services were good , plenty of films (albeit some were sncient) , and a good selection of other channels. The bed was ...
This was my 7th cruise, having sailed with Thompson, NCL and Cunard before; and this was the worst one yet.
Cons
-had a terrible encounter with my waiter in the Meridian restaurant on a particular night, as whilst having a conversation about desserts he preceded to say how the fact I must eat too many puddings is why 'she is so podgy' and 'fat and round like a pudding', with after my mum ...
We chose this cruise as we wanted to go to the Norwegian Fjords on a seven night cruise as this seemed to fully fulfill our requirements. We have had wonderful experiences on cruises with Princess, Cunard, RCI and NCL and we expected a similar experience with P&O but boy were we disappointed. This was very much a down market experience.
First the good bit the cabin and its servicing was ...
We were away or a friends 50th. Half of our party had been on a previous PO cruise to Bruges and had a wonderful time, so we were all looking forward to what we saw as a taster cruise. Sadly as this is more affordable than the longer cruises it seems it was full with a lot of Hen and Stag Parties. Not the end of the world as we were able to find quieter places (such as the Piano Bar) but not ...
We chose this particular cruise as we wanted to visit Gibraltar and Monaco.
We had a Balcony Cabin on Deck 15. There are no stairs midships so if you want to go up or down one deck you had to wait for a lift or walk to the front or rear of the ship.
A big issue with deck 15 is that the Horizon Buffet Restaurant is on Deck 16 above our cabin. We were awoken at 3.00am every morning for 5 days ...
Have cruised with P & O for past few years, and found them of good quality with great entertainment at a very good price.
POSITIVES: Balcony cabin was great, staff were good, especially our dining room staff who were best we have had on P & O
NEGATIVES:
Entertainment Limelight club has taken all the top entertainment who normally perform in main Theatre, so the 2nd string that would have ...
This is our seventh cruise having used thompson, celebrity, Holland America, and princess in the past and the first year we have felt the need to contribute to the reviews on cruise critic.
We were booked onto a 12 night cruise on the Britannia departing from Southampton ocean terminal. The cruise would visit Madeira, La Palma, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, and Lisbon. We were travelling with two ...
we always fly long haul and deciced to try a holiday without flying
and driving from kent to southampton and beginning our holiday within 4 hours seemed like a good idea,
on arival and seeing the Britania was amazing,(a hotel complex on water ,wow,
the ship was massive , it was clean and decorated very nicely, the staff were very nice and very helpful.the cabin was small but very ...
