Great places to see and experience. The ship needs to be rehabbed inside

Review for a Asia Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

This ship is feeling 'tired'. The furnishings, finishes, flooring, furniture and generally the over ship needs a physical makeover. The chair in our stateroom was stained and dirty looking.. The floor on our balcony needed cleaning and painting. Food and service in Blu was excellent General dining staff was confused. Took me three requests just to get a bottled water. Good ...

I choose this cruise for the destinations. Unfortunately, I didn't realize the bus trips to my destinations were 2 to 2.5 hours each way. It was a waste of time sitting on a bus that long. A lot of wasted time on the excursions. This trip was not what I hoped it would have been My dinning experience left a lot to desire. The portions were extremely small. The Oceanview Cafe served the same food ...

Did not think that we would get to these destinations, so cruising seemed the perfect option, however whist they sounded good with the exception of Ha Long Bay, which was a tender port) all ports were a long way from anywhere, making excursions essential. Not being experienced in arranging these ourselves, or with fellow passengers we relied on the Cruise line options. We were particularly ...

We were looking to do a nice Christmas cruise that took in Vietnam and Taiwan. We found Celebrity Millennium was well priced although an older ship. We noted that the ship had been refurbished and that the Aqua class cabins had been done at the same time. However the deck nine cabins were all listed as having restricted views we were also concerned because deck nine is immediately below the ...

Chose this as it was the best way for us to visit different parts of Asia. The ship was very tired and if we had known it was going to be so old, we would not have gone. This was the general opinion of everyone, especially those who had been on other Celebrity ships. The service was very good especially in the Blu restaurant where we were. We had a fantastic cabin person who was always ...

Overall we enjoyed our cruise. We selected it based on the time it was running and the ports it visited. This cruise was round trip hong kong visiting 3 ports in Vietnam and 3 in Taiwan. As others have mentioned the ship is a little tired in areas especially the cabins. We had an ocean view on level 2 mid ship. The furnishings desperately need replacing and the mattress and pillows were very ...

We're quite excited to go on the same ship as we traveled on a few years ago and the Itinerary was good before the changes, sad to miss out on Korea but Japan was Fantastic, china was not, The ship is very clean and nice, the crew is friendly and the food is good. The only crew I'm not happy are the x-Eastern european ladies in the reception, they are never helpful, they are very inflexible and ...

Lovely ship but don’t go in an inside cabin!

Great ship that is well maintained, with lots to do especially if you are young and mobile. We are still on this ship headed to Sydney, and in an inside cabin again which we will never do again because of the toilet flushing noise which is a design fault, but they do offer you ear plugs. On the cruise out of Hong Kong we were on level 10 below the kids club which resulted in us being unable to go ...

Not ready for primetime; overcrowded

Let me start out by saying that this ship is beautiful- it is one of the most modern cruise ships I have even on. Which is why its a shame the cruise failed to impress. Embarkation: Fast and efficient in hong kong. We were on the ship less then 30 mins after cruise terminal arrival. Dining: Not very good. This ship has now started charging $7.95 for room service (expect breakfast) I will be ...
