We had the most relaxing and enjoyable time. The best part for us was the bed!! the most comfortable sleep like being on a cloud. Our accommodations were wonderful. We had a suite and big balcony. One morning we had room service and it was perfect but we preferred to go to Sbabinit's for club class private breakfast. Food was special, service with attentive wait staff and always with joy. Also the club class dinning for dinner was above expectations. Food was varied delicious with so many choices. Again staff and seating was so accommodating. Relaxation time in the afternoon at the Vines bar was such a treat and late lunch at Alfredos pizza and Italian was out of this world. Our excursions were one of a kind. Visiting Russian and Berlin were the high lights for us but we were so pleased with all our choices. Even some of the ports where you could go on your own and walk into towns were so enjoyable. We also enjoyed the comic shows and the music in the atrium especially the classical group which played every afternoon and also the afternoon teas. We are ready to travel with Princess again and cannot wait until we will be able to book again. Additionally, my husband had some difficulty walking and he was treated with such care and consideration as were others on this cruise who needed chairs or walkers. It was truly heart warming to see how well everyone was treated. Read Less

- This was our first European River Cruise, but not our last! The Viking Staff was professional, polite and very responsive to all our requests. As we were coming from the Mountain Time Zone, we decided to take advantage of the Helsinki pre-cruise option. Good Choice. Helsinki is beautiful, the included walking tour was perfect, and we also had an off-day that allowed us to book a day-trip to Tallin, Estonia on our own before we left home. We booked on-line the Tallink Silja line, took the city tram to the dock and back. Very nice day in a 17th Century-preserved central capitol city. A real advantage of starting in Helsinki was the 1st class train ride from Finland to St. Petersburg. When you cross to border, you leave the 21st century Finland and enter the 1950's era Russian country-side. Very revealing. - St. Petersburg: Perfect first day in Russia -- from the Staff meeting us at the Train station to the evening dinner to the dockside Welcome Show. We took all the tours offered in St. Petersburg, and glad we did. The ship did dock in the city suburbs, so it was a daily 50 minute drive to see anything -- but it was also enjoyable to see the city on our "windshield" tours. The music, the ballet, the Winter Palace, Catherine's Palace and the Peterhof Palace once in a life-time stops - Down the lakes and river: A chance to unwind and see the beauty of Russia. Highlights: Uglich, Yaroslavl governor's palace, and Kizhi were each beautiful in their own way -- but my favorite was the grade school visit Kuzino. The teachers, the classes, and the layout of the school were "dead-ringer" the a 1950 Midwest grade school -- except of course for the 50 Apples computers. - Moscow. Everything Viking planned was better than the last. The Moscow by Night and the optional Bolshoi Opera excursions capped off our visit. - Other: Onboard lectures, dining, and cruse director staff--the best of experiences with each. Will we go on Viking again ? Yes, Yes, Yes. Read Less
