"this was wife and mine 20th cruise and the seventh on RC. First time sailing on Grandeur. Both of us in mid 60's. We had a balcony room on deck 7. We did no shore excursions from ship. Itinerary was good. My rating..."Read More

1-10 of 218 Southern Caribbean Grandeur of the Seas Southern Caribbean Cruise Reviews
We have cruised several times on the Grandeur of the years, but after this cruise we both decided, this was the last. We will wait for the Enchantment of the Seas and keep our fingers crossed.
We like cruising our of Baltimore because we don't have to pay for a flight, but I'll fly to California for a cruise before I get on the Grandeur again.
The cabin was a Junior Suite on the stern with ...
Two years in a row in January on the Grandeur is a lot better way to get to warm waters and plenty of sun traveling on a nice ship through choppy waters than the grueling voyage on I-95 in crowded traffic surrounded by crazy drivers.
The boat driver on the Grandeur had some work to accomplish to navigate the heavy weather on this voyage, but they call it an ocean, not a lake - thus one should ...
We selected this cruise because of it's length (12 nights) and ports of call (islands we had not yet seen in our past cruises). This was our 5th cruise on Royal Caribbean, all of which we loved and made us loyal cruisers. We had the worst cruise of our lives on Grandeur of the Seas. We wanted to leave by day 2!
What you need to know. This ship is full of loyal, patron cruisers, many of ...
A little history first my wife and I have been on at least 15 previous cruises with Disney, Celebrity, Princess,NCL and bulk with RC. We live outside of Philly so it is almost the same drive time to NY, Bayonne, and Baltimore. We prefer to sail out of any of the FL ports, quicker in the warm weather. Love to cruise in the winter months to escape the cold for a while. We already knew a little ...
We don't fly so it is convenient to drive to Baltimore from Ohio. Embarkation was quick and efficient. Food in Windjammer and MDR was excellent. Band played great dance music and we enjoyed the recorded ballroom music in the South Pacific Lounge. Should have dance teachers hired on every cruise because there were a lot of people that like the lessons. It was lucky that Dave and Betty Begin just ...
We chose this ship primarily because of the cheaper cost, itinerary. (St Croix) and port of departure. We own property on St Croix and wanted to visit to take care of a little business as well as see friends and have a vacation in the mean time.
Price: This cruise was cheaper than getting to JFK, flying to STX, renting a car for a week, renting a cottage for a week and handling all our food ...
The Grandeur has the best crew on any seas, always smiling and friendly looking to make your day the best. This ship is smaller and older by today’s standards,if your looking for all the bells and whistles this ship is not for you,if you want a nice relaxing cruise with good service this is the one for you, if you have children I suggest another ship they may get board if they are a little older ...
I love the longer cruises. When I leave the ship I always feel that I’m leaving family behind! It’s always like a big reunion each time I return to the ship. Lots of repeat cruisers because of the friendliness of the ships crew!
My cabin was an interior 3079, close to the elevator which I wanted! A little noise from the Centrum, however not enough to bother me, plus nothing goes on the ...
Coming from CT and not wanting to fly, we chose Grandeur and Baltimore. We have little interest in RCI’s monsters from Bayonne, and NCL’s product is simply unacceptable on many levels. It is too bad HAL and Celebrity abandoned the huge NY market,
Amtrak to Baltimore beats a winter flight, and Grandeur’s reasonable size was enticing. While food quality and service level show the same ...
I live near port of Baltimore and looked forward to not having to fly somewhere. I was interested in the ports being visited. I knew the ship was smaller than what I was used to but didn't think it was as old as it was. This was first cruise on Royal Caribbean. I've cruised Celebrity, Princess and Carnival. It was my 11th cruise. I was a bit shocked how outdated the cruise ship was especially ...
