This was our third time on the Equinox and our 12th time on a Celebrity cruise. Needless to say we like these ships and the company. However, there were a few things on this cruise that I wish had gone a bit better. This was our second time in Aqua class (the first was on the Constellation which was retrofitted with Aqua class so the dining room was actually the top right level of the normal ...
We've cruised many times but this was our first on a Celebrity ship. We loved everything about the ship. The service everywhere and the dining were very good. We were part of a group of eight all first timers on Celebrity and all of us thoroughly enjoyed cruise.
Colon didn't have much to do if you didn't want to view the locks. We had done the full canal transit twice before. We wanted to ...
This was a good size ship. It had a similar design to many other ships by Celebrity. We found the select dining worked well as we could eat when we liked. We only waited in line 5-10 min to be seated, usually sat with another couple. There are different lines depending on your timing. The food was good and the service wonderful. I thought the staff to this ship friendly and exceedingly efficient. ...
Loved this ship and Celebrity!! Excellent cruise and our inside stateroom 1100 next to library was perfect! All aspects of cruise were top notch. We enjoyed Cartagena and went on a tour thru Marivel.arranged thru this site. Best ever!! We also did the Monkey Watch in Panama. Saw lots of monkeys!! In Cozumel, went to Mr Santos and would recommend if one has had their fill of pyramids and ...
Booked this 14 months ahead - as we find we get better deals & more perks. Did a guaranteed Oceanview and ended up with an accessible OV room (287 sq.ft.) Most OV cabins are 177 sq.ft.
Stayed at the Rodeway Hotel with a package deal: hotel pre-cruise, breakfast buffet, free parking for 11 days and a shuttle to & from cruise pier. We paid $2 extra to take the 9 AM shuttle. Got to pier and we ...
My wife and I are Elite Plus Captain's Club members, have been sailing with Celebrity for 15 years, and had sailed with them almost exclusively since 2008. Over the past couple of years, though, I had become disenchanted with them because of a noticeable decline in service, food quality, and attention to all but suite passengers. In fact, we had booked with another line for a fall cruise but had to ...
I think the most remarkable thing about this cruise was the friendliness and openness of my fellow passengers! We enjoyed almost of our meals sharing light conversation with others. The cruise director, John, was excellent. Cool and not in your face.
Food was okay by me and my husband, but we could be NY snobs as far as food is concerned - and also our last cruise was on Oceania - Riviera ...
We were refugees from a Summit cruise that was chartered out from under us. This was an itinerary we liked for a few new ports - and that was the highlight of our cruise. The sea days were nicely spaced out and overall, we had a great time. Just didn't have a memorable meal the entire time - nothing was really bad, but nothing was especially great either. The entertainment was better than we ...
We had been on this same 11 day cruise on the Equinox last year in the reverse direction and had enjoyed it greatly. This cruise, however, exceeded that one largely because of superior entertainment.
The cruise director, John Grantham of Oxford, MS, is our favorite. He does not try to be cutesy and is very personable and always willing to talk to passengers. His booming but soothing voice ...
We'd taken this cruise before and enjoyed both the ship and the itinerary. The ports of call are interesting and a little "different" from the typical Caribbean stops. Our cabin, 1249, was a great location as it was near the library (hence, quiet) and in the part of the ship that "bubbled out" a bit from other cabins, affording us great views from the balcony. Our cabin steward, Dimas, was ...
