I enjoy cruising and since I live in Manhattan, I jumped at the chance to cruise from my homeport. I live 20 minutes away via Uber. I usually fly to Florida, the West Coast. Asia or a European port. When Carnival or NCL are sailing from Manhattan, I book a cruise. I booked a terrazza cabin for hubby and I. The room was nicely appointed. Average size. The bed was comfortable. The room was ...
Carnival has put together a wonder ship with an Italian Venizia theme. The decor is just wonderful and welcomed change from the many other cruise lines we have sailed.
We found the start of the cruise was well organized with passengers getting on by group assignment.
Throughout the cruise we found the crew involved with our room and dining to be friendly and helpful.
Each day included ...
Carnival wasn’t advised that covid was over, except for the barely edible food they put out at the Buffett- Service is slow and uncaring- room service did not get it right once- dirty tissues left under my bed from the previous passenger- if it wasn’t going to cost us over $1000 to jump on a plane in Punta Cana and get home we would be long gone!.
I was gifted a massage which was close to ...
We choose this cruises for the islands, it being 8 days and celebrating our 25th anniversary!! FIRST LET ME SAY, I’m not the one who usually leave’s reviews but….Nothing on the boat impressed us, which was sad!! The 2 pools are super packed, not enough chairs for everyone, if so people holding multi chairs that shouldn’t be allowed for multiple hours at a time, the 40 min holding was not ...
We sailed the ABC Islands on the Horizon and enjoyed each port stop.
The ship itself is a nice ship but we are finding that we prefer the smaller ships as the large ships just seem too crowded.
As usual cruise food is hit or miss and it seems that the menus are the same on each ship.
For the life of me I cannot understand the elevator lobbies being right in front of the restaurants; ...
PROS:
The Celestial Strings shows were phenomenal and a real treat to see such talent. The art auction crew were so wonderful and the highlight of our trip. The Bolt was a kick! Alex, one of the cruise staff, was such a pleasure and a true asset to this cruiseline. Hubby loved the Pig & Anchor because of the brewery beer selections. Waiters/food servers were great! Cabin cleaning staff always ...
It was a birthday cruise.
The good: The restaurants were the biggest highlight of the cruise. Very good if you did any time dining. Breakfast in the dining room was also good. The salad on the Serenity deck was awesome.
The bad: The cabins were very tight, and we had a balcony, you could bare fit on the other side of the bed next to the window. The elevators have no air-conditioning, ...
We chose this for the destination. We have been on several Carnival Cruise ships and have to say this is the worst layout ever seen, elevators terrible not handicap friendly., always waiting for one then when it opens totally full. Food was awful, cheapest cuts of meat, could not chew, no flavor, only slap one piece of bread down on your plate (no breadbasket or choice of bread and I mean your ...
Looked forward to getting away on a cruise with great food and great people. Well the food was terrible 90% of the people were awesome The other 10% were like they were there to raise hell and get stoned…if you went out on the lido deck to relax it was like being at a concert. Just groups hanging out drinking and smoking weed. As for the food it’s basically like the Golden Corral on a ...
I was invited by my sisters to sail with them. After losing our mother in March, it seemed appropriate to spend time together.
Anak was our cabin steward. We woke up every morning greeting him. He always had a big smile when greeting us. He attended our every need and was extremely gracious. I hope to have him again in future cruises.
Mildred was just assigned to Lido deck. She too greeted ...
