The cabin itself wasn't really any more special than any other balcony room, and the extended balcony didn't really offer much more space as the extended part is under an angled glass railing. We had hoped for more privacy than the balcony offered, but were pleasantly surprised by the lack of privacy. The aft of the ship has a steep angle to it, so when you stand at the railing on the balcony, your head and shoulders stand out. This ended up being a lot of fun! We got to know many of our neighbors as we were all hanging out with our binoculars on the balcony, especially on sea days when Nancy announced there were whales near the ship. We spotted some additional whales and porpoises that Nancy never announced too. We booked this room to maximize our opportunities to enjoy Alaska, and it came through! Read Less

Our first time for this cabin category. The balcony was as large as the interior and offered great views. A negative was when wildlife was seen and reported from the bridge we might miss it from our vantage point. The reciprocal was true as we observed some things the ship had past by. We took two of our adult children with us in a separate interior cabin (6311). They complained of lack of access to the balcony when we were out of the cabin, but they enjoyed the time with us when we were available. It was part of the price for their being "adults". As with other ships and cabins the limited availability of 110 volt electricity is a challenge in the evenings. We have learned to carry a small 4 outlet extension from Harbor Freight. With my CPAP machine and charging portable devices it is a blessing. The CPAP requires an extension cord and Carnival has always supplied one when we request it at boarding. We did have some issues with the cabin. The automatic closet light in the bedroom stayed on letting light into the room at night. My wife is extremely sensitive to light and had some difficulty sleeping as a result. In addition the plastic covering for the vanity lights in the dressing area had a tendency to pop off randomly or if brushed as you past it. The cabin had two TVs. One in the bedroom and a second in the sitting area. At one point the remote for the sitting room flaked out, but our cabin steward (a wonderful pleasant gentleman named Noel) worked with it and got us access again. Cabin stewards can make your cruise experience and Noel was exceptional. Read Less

Upon entering I thought we had travelled back in time, very dowdy and unimpressive, balcony badly rusted, ugly green 1960's handbasin in the otherwise blue bathroom. Soap not provided till 6th day of cruise (just as well we had brung our own), shower gel and shampoo provided in shower, but no conditioner. I bumped my leg on Day 1 which bled on corner of doona cover and on bed throw, these blood marks remained on the covers for the entire cruise and were never changed at all. Counted about 30 holes the size of a cigarette burn in curtains. Husband cut his fingernails on balcony on 3rd day, remains of which were still there the day we disembarked. Daughter slept on sofa bed, which just had a gym mat for covering, until she spoke to Housekeeping supervisor. Read Less

Very aged and not very clean. Our cabin steward did the bare minimum to get by. The location however was fantastic for seeing Alaska and cruising through the fjords. Read More

We were in an aft room 6333. Balcony could have been cleaner and furniture needs to be replaced. TV was an older model and not flat screen. My sister was on deck 7 and they did have a flat screen. Aft rooms in the ship are very convenient to the Lido and dining rooms. Sheets and pillows seem old and need to be replaced. Very hard to see from aft back room while sitting in chairs - they need to be taller. Also be aware that there is not a cover on the balcony. If you get sea sick easily, a bit more vibration on the back and you can also smell the fumes at times. Glass on balcony needs to be cleaned. We had 3 people in the room and the room did have a pull out bed for the 3rd person - it was not attached to the wall but a bed so that was nice for the 3rd person. Read Less
