The cabin had lint and dirt hanging out of the vent in the back of the door, Our steward did not change our sheets the whole cruise. The bathroom had a terrible urine smell, we were told this is normal. I've cruised on other Carnival ships and never encountered this kind of thing before, so II do not believe this normal. We like the Ocean View which is only slightly higher than the interior and does have a large window to see outside. The cost difference to get a Balcony room isn't worth it and those rooms are actually a bit smaller. The Freedom doesn't have Ocean View Deluxe with two bathrooms like the newer ships, but still a great room. Read entire member review >>
This cabin is amazing. It's a back corner room with lots of extra floor space and two windows. There was some movement but not really very noticeable. The extra space is well worth the extra walking. Read entire member review >>
As stated above, the rooms on Carnival are better and bigger than most. Plenty of room, bathroom is adequate and the bed is comfy. Could use firmer pillows. Being on floor one you can tell by looking outside your window as to the height of the waves Read entire member review >>

and enjoying the view from the window.

Exceptional room steward! This was cruise #6 for me so just when I thought I'd seen enough towel folding, our steward surprised me daily. We walked into the room to find a monkey towel hanging from the ceiling one day Read entire member review >>
This cabin was very roomy. Had the queen bed (which could be separated into two twins if wanted), a couch that turned into a bed, three closets with a ton of space along with all the drawers and the standard carnival bathroom! Our window was large and gave a good view not too far from the water so we could see the waves extremely close up which was pretty awesome! We were right next to the elevators and we did hear people running and talking loudly from time to time but it doesn't personally bother me. I'd much rather not have to walk far and be next to the elevators to be able to go places quicker even if it does mean I have to hear people talking. Loved this cabin, it was my first time not having a balcony and I'd say it wasn't too bad! Read entire member review >>
We found our cabin to be very roomy and comfortable. I loved having a window to look out of. It was a little noisy when the engines were slowing down, we could hear the change sounds they made. Other than that, it was a very nice stateroom. Read entire member review >>
This is a very large Ocean view cabin. We chose this because of the size, it has 2 ocean view windows side. It has a very large sitting area, enough to seat 6 people comfortably on the sofa and 3 chairs. If you are a light sleeper then DO NOT get this room. When the ship comes in to port the cabin will vibrate and rumble until the captain throttles down the engines. On our way in to dock at Port Everglades the cabin shook for almost 20 minutes straight. Not sure if he was having problems but that was the longest I've ever felt a ship vibrate. To us it was like an alarm clock. Read entire member review >>
We had an oceanview room cabin 1347. It was very nice and spacious. Our 26 year old daughter slept on the pullout couch and was pleasantly suprised by its comfort. The only complaint was that it was warm in the room at night. My daughter and husband had a hard time sleeping at night. We called guest services and they sent a technician to "fix" the problem but it was still 75 degrees in the room even at night. Read entire member review >>
7271 large amount of closet space. location close to elevator not much noise from them. If you are light sleeper the noise from the atrium will come into your room at night. Balcony is longer than normal but still not wider even though it is ocean suite. Tub is very small and makes showers smaller also. Was close to ice machine but never a problem with noise. 1352 outside window cabin.Very nice the only issues were the air was full cold and was probably only 74 I prefer it cooler called on it nothing changed.Water would leak threw the shower curtain and soak the bathroom floor it would drain but not a big deal Read entire member review >>
CABINS: We stayed on the main deck. Half of us had the oceanview cabins and half had the interior cabins. The cabins are of decent size. We were on a ship after all so you can't expect a lot of room unless you pay a lot of money for suites. The bathrooms were a little dated but in general were clean. There was a basket full of razors, soaps, etc., which was nice. Before the cruise, my husband and I requested a king size bed, which really was two twin beds put together. My sister, who was sharing the room with her little boy, requested the same thing. Upon arrival, neither one of our cabins were set up the way we had requested. I called the ship staff responsible for maintaining the cabins to arrange our beds the way we had wanted and they said they would come and take care of our beds. About two hours later, no one came and so I called again. No one ever came and no one ever bothered to follow up on our request. This was the first sign of poor customer service. Our cabins did not get cleaned regularly and we didn't even see our cleaning persons until halfway through the cruise. Overall, the cabin was adequately sound-proofed. We didn't have issues with noise. Read entire member review >>
Great location. Near the elevators/stairs, but not the noise. Just a few cabins down and the theater was above, and that was loud, but not our cabin. Bathroom is not the biggest, but I've been in smaller. Cabin size was slightly larger than some of the other Carnival ships I've been in. Hallways are definitely wider on this ship. Plenty of closet and drawer space for 2 adults and 2 toddlers. Two twins together + sofa sleeper + crib worked out great for us. Read entire member review >>
We were three seniors in an outside cabin and were very pleased with the spaciousness. Two suitcases each and all were stored under the beds and out of the way and all clothes were hung in closets or folded in dresser drawers. Bathroom and shower were very good size with plenty of storage drawers & shelving. Read entire member review >>
Our cabin was perfectly placed - close enough to the elevators but little to no noise from the halls or elevator bay. It was located on the Main level and towards the bow of the ship. The cabins are of a decent size, much larger than the last time I cruised. The only complaint we had was in regard to the shower as we had problems with the water draining and no matter what precautions we took, we ended up with a 1/2 inch of water on the bathroom floor after each shower.
