We purchased a cruise package that included flights, 3 days pre-cruise stay in Cape Town then a cruise to Rio stopping at Luderitz and Walvis Bay in Namibia followed by St Helena before ending with a day in Rio. The outbound BA flights were fine. The hotel (Cullinan) in Cape Town was good apart from the dinner on the second night which was below par. All the excursions were excellent, well ...

Seasoned Oceania cruisers try out Regent. How did it go? It was an adventure. We are seasoned Oceania cruisers, and seasoned transatlantic cruisers. We booked our own flights and took the transfer from the airport to the Southern Sun and joined the 4 day/3 night precruise. The hotel is fine, in a great location, and the staff could not be nicer. Drinks were ship, ship is great and we'll maintained, staff were brilliant and very helpful. However the food was terrible and I was embarrassed for the staff who had to serve this rubbish. Currently on Rhapsody Of The Seas and there buffet is like fine dining compared to MSC. You need to live your game in this reason. Stephen Foster would have to be the best Cruise Director we have encountered ...

You can't argue with the price for this 21-night cruise from Cape Town to Venice, with return flights included in the price. It was a good value for money cruise. Would I go on the MSC cruises again? Most probably not because :- 1. The problem with the food. Simply put, the food was awful, boring and repetitive in both lunch and dinner. The worst food in my 50+cruises so far. Part of cruising ...

THE GOOD THINGS: A very pretty ship....lots of outside space for deck chairs and eating. Maps on every floor by the lifts to remind you where you are. We've been on a number of other cruise ships and the balcony cabin was one of the best we have ever encountered, spacious, a very comfortable bed, plenty of hanging space for clothes, masses of drawer space and a nice two seater settee. Enough ...
