Review for a Africa Cruise on MSC Musica

We returned on Saturday 26 January 2019 from our fantastic trip on the MSC Musica. The extra 2 days were a great bonus and we actually had the most fun on those 2 days as the weather was exceptional. Thanks again for doing the booking for us and keeping us informed along the way. I left this feedback with MSC. I rated most of the activities a "10" not just as a default rating but an ...

We took this cruise to celebrate my daughters first birthday. The cruise itself was good, but due to high winds we were not able to dock on the last day. As a result we had to spend an extra two nights at sea. With 2 small kids on board it became quite difficult to manage as we were not prepared for the extra 2 nights. The facilities were great, especially the kids club. We were most disappointed ...

I wanted the experience of sailing into Walvis Bay and seeing desert meet ocean. The day trip was perfect 4x4 adventure. The cruise sailed out of Cape Town ..spectacular views from verandah cabin. Heavy fog made 2nd night interesting with vessels horn blasting into the night. Strong headwinds gave us some rough cruising on way back to Cape Town. We had delays getting back into the harbour due to ...

We chose this cruise departing on 20th January as it was advertised in the UK and looked interesting visiting different places in South Africa, along with Namibia and Mozambique. Embarking was the worst we have ever experienced, no guidance or help. Cabin 11171 was good and roomy, no issues there! Namibia ended up being the only port of call on the 12 day trip that was there on the correct day ...

Me and my husband was going to go on the cruise to celebrate his birthday. Unfortunately he passed away suddenly in October. I was going to cancel but my daughter insist the two of us must still go. I'm so glad I went, it was the best way to honour his memory and to go create new memories for myself and try to heal the wounds. For a week I could get pass my pain and sorrows. The entertainment ...

I was invited by a friend to tag along. Was my first cruise. The staff/crew were extremely friendly and helpful. A wider variety of cocktails should be made available. I had a cocktail booklet and it was very limited. As far is the photographs are concerned....excellent photographers but the photographs are just not affordable. Whilst we are aware these are based on dollar exchange you need ...

Relaxing experience

Embarkation was a disastrous experience. There must a way to divide the passengers into groups with different time slots. It will definitely prevent queuing for more than two and a half hours. Some of the elderly people did find difficult to stand that long. Disembarkation was much easier. The worst experience, however, was that we were left in the dark regarding docking. The captain should ...

Well where to start with this one ! I have been on a number of cruises and decided to include one on my recent visit to South Africa, bad choice as this cruise was easily the worst I have ever been on. Too much went wrong to detail everything but I'll have a go. Embarkation at Cape Town was a nightmare. We had to wait 3.5 hrs to board. We had to q up in a deserted shell of a warehouse covered ...

Once in a life time experience

This was our first cruise in our lives. In a way we were very impressed but looking deeper under the surface MSC has lots of space to improve their service delivery. Very well aware of fact that this point is most likely not MSC Musica's responsibility but need to be said that waiting for approx 3-4 hours in a queue to go on board without any seating nor refreshments or clean toilet ...

Over-crowded & unplanned

We chose this cruise as we had done the trip up to Mozambique from Durban twice before, and felt like a change of departure city, ship and itinerary. We felt like the ship was overcrowded, way to few seating in the buffet area and pool decks. No system to keep order and no assistance with children or babies in the buffet area. Being pushed an bumped while trying to get a meal for my baby was ...
