Great Itinerary, Disappointing ship.

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Epic

Chose this cruise for the Itinerary, price and perks. Have enjoyed NCL in the past (platinum member) but this cruise was different. The embarkation was a disaster, 21/2 to 3 hours in line, with no communication as to what was going on! And lack of communication was evident at other times during the cruise. The crew was hit and miss on friendliness, and we unfortunately had an outright unfriendly ...

Norwegian simply does not know how to manage a ship with 4,000 passengers. 3 hour wait outside to embark / check in 2 hour delay in disembarking (almost missed flight) A couple of ports that were just a waste because a ship the size of Epic apparently has to dock far away from more convenient docks. After the embarkation disaster they made the statement, "We know it was terrible but it ...

We took a 16-day cruise on the EPIC. An epic mistake. With no desire to impugn the people of Puerto Rico, the fact that what appeared to be ¾ of the passengers seemed to be from there, led to some of our complaints and culture shock. Here are some of the issues we found with this trip: • Embarkation was delayed hours due to there having been an outbreak of some illness on the prior cruise. ...

This was planned before Hurricane Irma and the loss of st thomas made a gigantic mess for immigration which both our government and ncl made no seen attempt to repair. I chose this for my first transatlantic and it might be my last. A combination of being on these for almost 40 years and 20 during the last 4 with different lines I thought I could do no wrong I trusted NCL and they put me right ...

Chose for itinerary and value. They say you either like or dislike the ship, we disliked. Embark was long, slow and no priority for Platinum guests. Because one in our party had a cane we were taken to other side for disabled line which took forever, only one agent. Disembark a nightmare, we were told by Lattitude staff we could get off anytime so we started at 7 and got off at noon. ...

NCL EPIC Never again 2 Stars: Did Not Meet Expectations The Atrium: LOUD The pool deck: LOUD The shows in Headliners: LOUD The Cavern Club: LOUD The Atrium: LOUD (bears repeating) The Atrium: What a disappointment. On other NCLs I’ve been on - and I’m an NCL fan - the Atrium was the ideal gathering place - with they coffee/sweets bar in the centre and a lounge ...
