Lovely Time in the Mediterranean

As with all reviews a lot comes down to taste. Personally we liked the modern fresh style on the ship. The one sea day was quite crowded but other than that had a great time on deck. Water world was great fun as were the sky ride and ropes. Loads of activities for all ages. The food wasn't great in the main dining. It promised a lot but just didn't deliver. Often bland/dry/overcooked. I know they ...

just returned from 12 days on the Carnival Vista. This is our 4th cruise and our first with the Carnival. The ship is new but does lack the wow of the Royal Caribbean, it a fun ship rather than an elegant ship. The layout is a bit confusing but by the end of the cruise we had mainly cracked it. The Cruise Director has definitely got what it takes to add fun to the adventure and reminds me ...

We embarked the ship at 4pm therefore it was seamless, we were probably the last one's on the ship therefore no line-ups. We travelled with our 12 year old. The downside of the 12-14 year old camp was it was closed all day until 4pm which that didn't work for us since she didn't want to come on excursions with us. After a few days, I contacted the younger camp counsellor and enrolled my ...

Was excited to be on a new cruise ship. The ship itself is beautiful, with many amenities and things to do. 5000 passengers is too much. Long lines at the buffets, uncaring US passengers dropping food and leaving it on floors and carpets, eating like it's their last meal (multiple plates, lots of food wasted) even though they are grossly overweight, and just plain loud and rude. Staff is ...

I have never done a med cruise so my daughter convinced me to go on the second voyage of The Carnival Vista from Barcelona to Athens. It was a great trip lots of food maybe too much and long nights and a 7 hour jet lag coming home. The ship and staff were all great and the brewery was really impressive .the meals in the dining room and the steak house were amazing. There were lots of daytime ...

Carnival Vista 10 day med cruise - aimed at Casual American Market

10 day cruise on Carnival Vista. Mainly P & O cruisers but thought we would try a different cruise line company (all be it P & O are UK part of Carnival). To summarise Carnival is a lower level class than P & O aimed at Casual American Family market. We expect cruising to be on the luxurious side, being pampered which on the Carnival Vista just did not happen. We make the most of any holiday and ...

Let me start off by saying we had an excellent time and the cruise was wonderful! Ship: Brand New! Second sailing, very exciting to be on. I have to say I was very underwhelmed by the atrium. I am a fan of the atrium's that open up to the very top, feels more open where as this atrium was very enclosed. Not really somewhere that you wanted to be around. The brewery was awesome! Very fun ...

Second time on a Carnival cruise . First time 4 years ago on the Victory and we were so impressed we really wanted to sail with them again. Sometimes it's just best to hold onto a good memory! The sunshine just didnt impress us at all. The cabin stewards were not the usually chirpy friendly chappies (maybe that was just ours) some things we liked a but overall we'd give it 4/10. The main problem ...

12 nights in the Med on the Carnival Sunshine. We are two adults and two teenagers. (16 and 13) Embarkation. This was quick and easy, despite a computer failure. Our cabin wasn't ready, but we sat by the main pool, had some lunch and watched flamenco dancing. Our cabins 6371 and 6367 were ready at about 2.30pm and our luggage arrived before the muster drill. We had a balcony cabin (6371) which ...

My husband & I have taken a number of cruises previously but this was the first in the Med & with Carnival. Excellent/good: Embarkation at Barcelona was excellent & we both commented on how smoothly it went. The area we had to wait in was very good fresh, airy & with plenty of seating & a cafe. On Board the food - we tried moston offer, entertainment- we went to several venues & shows & staff - ...
