For those booked on the Carnival Sunshine when it arrives in the Caribbean you are in for a treat! We recently returned from the 9 night Western Mediterranean cruise from Barcelona to Venice, calling at Marseille, Livorno, Civitavecchia, Naples, Messina, Dubrovnik and Venice. This ship has all the usual Carnival fun and hospitality, but in a lovely package. The refit has been very well done, all ...

The rooms are very nice. Staff nice. Ship is nice, except for the lack of a large pool. We did discover Tip1-use guest services desk on advice on how to do your excursion at the easy ports. Tip2-do use the sail and sign kiosk or guest services to keep up with your spending everyday, or watch for mistaken charges, and can contest some charges. Tip3-watch out for sales people everywhere, including ...

Just returned from our Cruise tonight and felt the need to warn people about some annoying imperfections that blighted our cruise. Having previously sailed with Princess and Royal Caribbean the standards set were quite high, however we had been warned that sailing with Carnival would be a different experience, so our expectations were lowered beforehand. We chose this cruise for the following 3 ...

To give you an overview on us, I (32) have worked in the Cruise Industry for 7 years and have been lucky enough to experience many ships; both professional and personally, my partner (25) worked on the Disney Dream for 6 months as a youth activities co-coordinator. I think with many Mediterranean Cruise holidays you can sometimes come back home completely exhausted and the 9 nights on the ...

My Husband and I are in our early 40's and this was my 17th cruise. We were originally booked on the April 26th cruise that was cancelled due to the ship not being ready. We are so happy we re-booked for August. What a perfect cruise. Also found out once onboard that we had $150 room credit for taxes, so a nice surprise for us! We spent 1 day prior in Barcelona and stayed at the Hotel Espana ...

This was our first time cruising with Carnival but it certainly will not be our last.Like others we had done our research on the cruiseline itself and also on the ship itself, and like others we had read both positive and negative reviews so like always we got ready for our cruise with an open mind and now I can positively write an utterly positive review due to myself and my husband having had a ...

Just returned from a fantastic cruise on the Sunshine. The Highs:- Emabarkation - Arrived at the Terminal around 11.45am, and dut to my 12 previous cruises with Carnival and having achieved Platinum Status, my friends and I were on board in our cabins, changed into shorts a T-shirt and flip flops and sitting in the Havana Bar eating lunch by 12.30pm... Can' get any better than that. The Ship ...

We just returned from a 12 day Mediterranean cruise on the Carnival Sunshine . We had sailed on the old Destiny before , so I was really curious about all the changes . First of all , she’s beautiful , but she always was , just a little tired . Service was as good as ever , so was the food . If you have never tried the “Warm Chocolate Melting Cake “ you really haven’t lived ! I had it again the ...

Just got back from a 12 day Med.cruise on the Carnival Sunshine. There were six of us in 3 rooms(two balcony one inside). Generally had a great time but also some things we didn't like. The Sunshine was recently renovated(used to be called Destiny) and the general look of the public areas was very nice, much more toned down than any of the other Carnival ships we have been on. The ship has all the ...

This was me and my husbands first cruise, so we had no big expectations. Embarking on the ship was fast and our cabin was ready. We had a balcony room which I was very glad for. It was most enjoyable to sit outside and watch the sites. The room was spacious enough, and the bathroom was also. Very simply decorated, but nice. Our cabin steward was very friendly, and accommodating. Dining ...
