After reading many bad reviews about Arvia,we had mixed feelings about getting onboard, but we always say let's make our cruise the best we can make it what ever happens. We have been on plenty of cruises with different cruise lines and plenty with P and O. We have to say we had a fantastic time ,yes it wasn't perfect ,but we didn't experience anything to really moan about.Food was of a good ...

We have traveled to Caribbean previously in 2017 on MSC Fantasia and had a wonderful time. It was a fly cruise. This time we flew out to Caribbean on Virgin Atlantic and this was a very pleasant experience. We decided to do a different cruise in as much as we flew to Barbados and then after On our arrival in Bridgetown we had a very pleasant surprise. As we got off the aircraft we found ...

This was the end of 2018/2019 Winter Caribbean Season repositioning cruise, as Britannia returned to Southampton on the 29th March leaving Barbados on the 16th evening. The price (at least for us) included a Thomas Cook charter flight from Gatwick to Barbados, transfer to ship and at the end of the voyage in Southampton, a free coach taking us back to Gatwick to collect the car. This also ...

The cruise was excellent for the food, entertainment, staff, and cabins. But the quality of the AI drinks package was poor. The brands of the drinks were hidden so couldn’t see the bottles but saw the whisky le Valletta never heard of. Ginger ale tasteless out of a cheap plastic bottle. Would not pay for AI again as it would have been cheaper to go on the cruise and buy a few quality brand drinks. ...

Great Premium flight from Birmingham well worth the extra though why you should have to pay on top of £175 surcharge to reserve a seat baffles me. Smooth transfer to cruise terminal then super quick boarding less than 5 minutes after getting off coach. Found cabin nice and spacious with large balcony. All ok there, luggage arrived within an hour or so. Muster drill delayed until a18:30 ...

.........my last employer who amazingly had toilet roll even thinner than on Britannia! Ok enough of that, having just retired & facing a significant birthday this fitted the bill, years of USA fly drives had left us pretty sick of flying,we felt we could just put up with the one flight without another to look forward to at the end of the holiday, just to make it extra special I had booked the ...

Good cruise but a few niggles

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Britannia

It started badly... 20 min wait on plane for buses to port. Buses from airport were a shambles and way overcrowded. Then a 20 min stand in line in 29C heat to embark. Not a good start. However, things did improve. Staff throughout the cruise were generally pretty good but some were surly and unhelpful especially in the pub. Room was good (balcony with sofa on Deck A) but the balconies on Britannia ...

well here we are back today (4/4/13) from barbados on board a very friendly ship. we embarked on our first ever flight from gatwick where, after an accident to my wife on the escalator we were fast tracked through the airport and looked after very well by very concerned staff at both the airport and on the plane, the 8 3/4 hrs flight was very enjoyable and we were well fed and watered throughout. ...
