Although my wife and I have taken many cruises, our May 2016 Mediterranean cruise was our first on Royal Caribbean’s upscale Azamara line and for us it was a most enjoyable one. We rate it a solid B+.
Getting things off to a good start, our boarding process in Pireaus, Greece, was quick, easy and painless. Azamara’s shoreside crew was well-organized and well-managed, and we breezed through ...
What a truly wonderful cruise! We have just returned home from a 16 night "Spice tour" from Singspore to Dubai and I have to admit that I was feeling apprehensive having read some poor reviews before embarking on our journey. Perhaps those reviewers were unlucky, with the ship going into dry dock early April.
I can report that The Quest is now sparkling new, with a comprehensive refurbishment ...
I was apprehensive about this Spice Route voyage as the ship was fresh out of dry dock after refurbishment, especially after reading about the experiences of travellers after the sister ship Journey came out of dry dock in January.
I feel sorry for those who had the previous cruise cut short to enable the Quest to spend an extra few days in Singapore dry dock and it really worked out well for ...
I visited India in the 60's and always wanted to take my wife to sample various ports and the Spice Cruise seemed the best option.
Picking Azamara was due to their schedule, because we had only cruised once before in 2015, with another cruise company.
Overall we found the Azamara Quest to be more like a country hotel rather than a ship sailing deep sea. The cabins were a good size and the ...
My partner and I have just returned from our 2nd Azamara Quest cruise, this time on the Spice Route cruise from Singapore to Dubai under the command of Captain Jose. It was the ship's first cruise since it's refit and what a fine job Azamara has done in the 2 weeks it was in Singapore dry dock.
Although the ship was obviously put back into service 24 hours too soon indicated by quite a few ...
The review is overdue, but I feel that I must recount the following details of a truly wonderful 32 days cruising we had on the Quest post dry dock – 15 April and 1 May sailings from Singapore to Dubai to Athens.
We boarded promptly on our arrival at the Singapore Cruise Centre and soon were amongst very excited fellow travellers and our extended ‘family’. We were very impressed with the ...
This was our first Azamara cruise and we liked it so much, we've already booked our next one. We were fortunate to be the first passengers after the refit in Singapore and we found a beautifully appointed ship with comfortable places to relax, have a drink, meet friends, eat a wonderful dinner, or have a quiet moment. What we loved about the size of the ship is there are no lines like you get on ...
Chose this cruise as itinerary was just what we wanted , no problem with embarkation or disembarkation. We thought the ship was lovely every thing sort of felt very genteel that's not to say it was old fashioned it wasn't just very relaxing . We had lovely cabin with balcony , ok perhaps shower room a little smaller than celebrity , but not a problem .
No complaints regarding lunch or evening ...
Amazing Azamara
16 night spice route following the refurb was wonderful, embarkation was a breeze we walked straight on and our cabin was ready immediately We had booked an inside guarantee and were allocated an outside cabin 4005 it was a bit noisy at times as the crew constantly walked past and had some vibration when docking but it did not spoil our cruise. The cabin small as expected had ...
We had one of our best holidays ever on this ship. It had just come out of dry dock so all of the restaurants, public areas, cabins etc. were all new so it really looked lovely.
We got an upgrade to a balcony cabin, perhaps because our cabin was not finished but we did not complain.
All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. When the bar on level 9 closed, the bar staff from 10 would ...
