Thanksgiving Cruise On Dream

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Dream

This was our 2nd time on the Dream. She has definitely aged in the two years since we last sailed on her, but still a good ship. Had a good time, but overall wasn't our best cruise. PRE-CRUISE: Stayed at the Comfort Suites at the NOLA Airport. Highly recommend – we plan to use them again. Great room: clean, large and comfortable. Bed was great! Great breakfast and staff. 20 minutes from ...

This was our 3rd Thanksgiving cruise (all with Carnival). We had 17 people in our party as we planned the trip with our extended family. I am sure others in the party will be pushing for another cruise line for next year. We have been on other Carnival cruises over Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time. I was really disappointed in the Dream. This is the largest ship we have been on and I ...

Carnival; Never Again

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Dream

This was our second cruise on the Carnival line, first on the Dream. After our experience on the Carnival Dream, we will never sail Carnival again. Food was sub-par. What was being served in the buffet was being served in the restaurant. Came back to the ship, at approx. 3:30 p.m., after a day in port to discover they were closing the buffet. Really, close the buffet when everyone is coming back ...

My last Dream!

I have traveled alot and I have never written a review however I felt I should for this trip. First, the interior rooms were tiny. A queen bed with 2 fold down bunks from the ceiling with uncomfortable mattresses. I hit my head on the bunk so many times that my friends started joking about brain damage. One time I hit my head so hard it nearly knocked me out. Tall people should absolutly avoid the ...

Carnival Dream; Not Too Much of a Dream

This was the first time of cruising with Carnival having been with numerous other cruise lines. We were somewhat overwhelmed by the sheer size of the boat - but we expected this having done some basic research beforehand. The firs thing that struck us was that the cabin (Deck 8 - balcony) was OK for size but not drinkmaking facilities (coffee or tea). OK, so not to worry we brought our own ...

Our (my wife and I) overall experience on Carnival Dream was truly beyond marvelous. We totally enjoyed the cruise from start to finish. Every process was well organized and very efficient especially considering almost 4 thousand people on board with thousands of those with special needs and assistance required. Since we've been taking vacations all over the world in the past 40 years (to ...

5th and Last Carnival Cruise

This was my 5th Carnival cruise and my wifes first. I promised her nothing short of an unbelievable experience. I cannot apologize enough to my wife for the disappointment that began almost immediately. We boarded the Dream, found our cabin then went up to 'the gathering' for lunch. I was shocked! First at the lack of choices. Second at the lack of quality. Third at the terrible ...

First and last time on Carnival

As long time cruisers, we have gravitated to another of the lines as our "go to" provider. When a group cruise on the Dream presented itself, we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, Carnival reinforced the low expectations we had when we booked. We booked an upgraded Spa Suite on the 11th deck. It's a neat concept with quick access to the spa one staircase up. Spacious and well laid out ...

First off you need a GPS for New Orleans. We stayed at Comfort Suites in Harvey great clean place to stay will be back there, when we visit New Orleans again. Booked our first Cove balcony it was great .Cabin 2353 I could have called this a Dream ship if the mattress was in better condition..We woke up every morning with severe back pain..Didn't meet our Steward till the 2nd day of sailing,he did ...

Carnival Dream Cruise; Better than Expected

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Carnival Dream

My wife and I have been on about a dozen cruises and this was our second on Carnival. The itinerary was why we chose this cruise, desiring to return to Montego Bay, the destination of our first foreign trip 30 years ago. We loved our cove balcony, the best cabin we have experienced. We prefer a smaller ship but the Dream did allow for quiet at the adult Serenity areas on the open decks. Because we ...
