Stay away from Cuba (and Carnival)!

We took the cruise to see Cuba. The first stop was Key West, which was great (as always) but way too short of a stopover. Cuba is a beautiful country and most of the people we met were quite nice, but guarded, The tour guides could hardly speak English and were propaganda robots for the Cuban government, but the Taxi driver was great (and he got a big tip). My biggest problems were the ...

This was my wife and my 45th anniversary present to each other. We should have stayed home, went out to dinner, and saved 4 grand. If you are looking for a low budget frill cruise, an over crowded ship, school cafeteria food, and poor service then this cruise is for you. This just might be the worst cruise ship on the ocean these days. Built in 98', and with no upgrades ever, you can tell every day of it's age. Tag that along with the worst crew in the history of cruise ships, and I'm not sure how anyone could enjoy this ship. Now let's start the review with the positives: Wayan our steward. Decent and always had ice for us and room immaculate(it is his ...

Having cruised Carnival about 20 years ago, I had fond memories of my experience. Since my first Carnival experience, more recently I have cruised with NCL and Holland America 4 separate times and throughly enjoyed both cruise lines. Fast forward to last week and my latest experience on Carnival was horrendous. Buffet food was awful, Outside cabin was worn and tired, the staff was quite ...
