Wine Cruise but no special wine events

I admit it, I've become a travel snob and thought the wine themed cruise would be special on Celebrity but it was not. I asked around and found out the wine themed events were for wine groups that booked the cruise as a group through their wine clubs. This was our second cruise on Celebrity, the first being on Solstice in the Caribbean in January, this year. We boarded the Radiance at approx 2.30 had lunch and returned to our cabin to await the arrival of our luggage. This was our first cruise out of San Diego, and our 5th cruise with Holland America. Firstly, it was an absolute pleasure to sail from San Diego. The pier is a quick 1.5 miles from the airport, and Hertz shuttled us over at no cost.
