Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

Family Get-together Party of 5 with 3 cabins. We were all to have 2 for 1 fares, with a Specialty Restaurant, 150 minutes WIFI/Internet, and $50 shore excursion credit. Unlike the other 2 cabins, we only received the 2 for 1 fare. Spoke with Guest Services and they had to get with HQ. Never got back to me. Went to Guest Services again and they stated HQ said they wouldn't do anything because it ...

The October 6, 2023, the New England cruise from Quebec City to Boston began on October 4 with the NCL BOGO air. The trip began at 6 am on United Air from Colorado Springs to Chicago. Late start with plane bathroom issues but arrived in time in Chicago for our connecting Air Canada flight. The Chicago flight loaded and had a delay of 20 minutes, then another 20, then everyone told to deplane, ...

Fair warning, this is a LONG and DETAILED review. I read lots of reviews but at 55, I have found to take most of them with a grain of salt. Everyone is different so you need to take away from reviews specifics that apply to you. I do not take any stock in reviews that make negative comments for things that are completely out of control by nature and certain things. People who complain that a ...

Wouldn't sail on this ship again. The crew is not to blame, NCL is.

On this cruise, I learned that you get what you pay for! For the price that I paid as a solo traveller, the cruise was just barely OK, so in a way, I have to admit that it's nice that there are choices for bargain hunters, but personally, I will use more caution when booking a cruise in the future, as this cruise, food, ship and choice of activities did not meet my expectations. I am a rather ...

Worse food that I ever ate on a cruise.

The BOGO airfare worked well for us. Check in was a breeze. Our ocean view room was fine & kept clean. We enjoyed the entertainment. All the servers, bar tenders & personnel went out of their way to make our trip enjoyable. Two of our ports were cancelled in Halifax & St John due to weather. We had an extra sea day & stop in Portland MA. Also we couldn't tender in Martha's Vineyard. ...

Make sure your doorway isn't used for the cleaning cart with laundry, dirty plates & glasses, garbage etc most daily hrs. Terrible system! Rip off $10 charge for ANY room service on top of grat. Burger buffet is always the same- no variety except for a few Indian dishes. No am turkey bacon or sausage that other lines serve. All beef items were low quality. No cream for coffee. No good movies & ...

After more than 30 years of cruising on all the major cruise lines, I now think that Norwegian Cruise Lines has become the best value in the industry, especially for those who prefer to cruise solo.  While legacy cruise lines seem hostile to singles (usually charging solos 200%, but couples get a discount on the second passenger), NCL is the opposite and offers solo cruisers regular cabins with no ...

We (3 couples) chose this cruise for the canada/new england/fall foliage itinerary. The norweigen pearl is in great shape and the stateroom was comfortable and adequately served (once per day.) service on board was very good, a friendly and helpful staff by and large. Meals in the main dining room were very good, as was the specialty restaurant, la cucina. I didn't enjoy the teppanyaki dining: ...

This was a 10 day cruise out of Quebec with stops in Sagunay, Charlottetown, Sydney, Portland, Boston, Martha's Vineyard, and ending in Baltimore. Due to hurricane Lee, we missed Sydney and Portland, then finally, on the only day that it wasn't raining, we skipped Martha's Vineyard due to "sea conditions and wind." It was a beautiful day, so now it's another two sea days. All told, in 10 days we ...

We picked this cruise as it was sold as 8 ports of call with only 2 days at sea, and it ended up being virtually the opposite - 7 days at sea. Rather than stay in port along the St. Lawrence, the Captain opted to go into the Atlantic and outrun Hurricane Lee. His actions appeared to be in the sole interest of getting the ship back to Balitmore to pick up the next 2,000 guests versus prioritizing ...
