(5:25 p.m. EST) -- One of the best cruise lines for craft beer, Carnival Cruise Line, has revealed the beer menu for its newest ship.
Carnival Horizon, slated to debut April 2018, will unveil four beers -- all brewed onboard -- designed to complement its new venue, Guy's Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse Brewhouse. Below is a breakdown of the new beers:
- ParchedPig Smoked Porter (a robust, full-bodied beer brewed with in-house smoked malt)
- ParchedPig Farmhouse Ale (a lightly hopped beer with hints of fruit and spice)
- ParchedPig Toasted Amber Ale (a smooth beer with notes of toasted caramel and biscuit)
- ParchedPig West Coast IPA (a hoppy, intense beer inspired by traditional West Coast IPAs)
In addition to the new menu, Guy's Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse Brewhouse will serve a free buffet-style lunch and a la carte dinner, focusing on smoked meats and savory sides.
The venue is one of a handful of "new to the line" features debuting on Carnival Horizon; the ship also will introduce the line's first Teppanyaki restaurant -- an expansion of the popular venue, Bonsai Sushi. It also will include Carnival staples such as Guy's Burger Joint, the BlueIguana Cantina and Tequila Bar, as well as the SkyRide and IMAX movie theater unveiled on Carnival Vista.
After Carnival Horizon's launch in Europe, the ship will reposition to New York for a summer of four-night Bermuda and eight-night Caribbean cruises; it will then head down to Miami for year-round Caribbean cruises beginning September 2018.
