Regent Confirms Cruise Ship Refurbishment

July 16, 2013
Regent Seven Seas Cruises (6:59 a.m. EDT) -- Regent Seven Seas Cruises has announced that Seven Seas Voyager will go through a multi-million dry dock refurbishment this October to include new interiors and restaurants.

The 700-passenger vessel will undergo its nine-day renovation in Marseille before setting sail on a 10-night Lands of Myths, Seas of Fables cruise from Rome to Venice.

Changes to the ship will include re-decoration of all Penthouse Suites and Horizon and Observation lounges, adding custom-crafted furnishings, wall coverings, original artworks and new lighting. The renovations throughout the ship will give the fleet a more luxurious feel by adding new carpets, wall light fittings and several pieces of original artwork displayed throughout the ship. New furniture will also be added to Deck 11 relaxation area and Deck 12.

This news comes days after the luxury line announced that it would be building a fourth ship to add to its fleet, the Seven Seas Explorer -- which will be ready for delivery in summer 2016.
