This was my first ever, and most likely last cruise!

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Escape

I departed closest to where I live. It was also recommended to me based upon my older children's ages (21 & 25), but there was no group entertainment/leadership for that age ratio. It rained 75% of the trip and we sailed through it all the time. You would think the ship would detour away from the storms. Entertainment was great indoors, which was were people had to spend most of their time, ...

Beautiful ship, not enough amenities for people

We wanted to go to Bermuda, first time on Norwegian. The Escape does not have enough amenities per the amount of passengers. The pool for adults was very small and could not even enjoy because it was so packed. The gym is super small . If you want to enjoy the sauna/steam room you have to pay a 200.00 up charge, ridiculous. We will not cruise Norwegian again. Cagneys steak house was the ...

Our son and his partner selected this cruise for their wedding. The wedding was held in the Manhattan Room before we sailed. The staff met us in the terminal. All 50 plus guests were escorted onto the ship before anyone else. The whole experience was amazing! After the wedding and reception the non sailing guests departed and the 12 sailing guests began the cruise. The Norwegian Escape is a ...

Sailed out of NYC on the Escape to Bermuda on May 27, 2018. Check in and boarding was the smoothest of any cruise I have taken. Sailing was good, a very few minor moments of ship movement from the weather as a result of weather on the way to Bermuda but none after that. The weather was a minor issue the first day in Bermuda as it rained off an on for the first ½ of the day. After that it was ...

Lots of turmoil on this cruise (Escape- Bermuda- 5/27/18)

I love NCL and Escape, but this cruise was different than previous ones: * The lead singer for After Midnight committed suicide on the first day of the cruise by jumping off the ship. * Beverage service in Cagney's was poor. I had to ask for lemonade five times before finally telling the maitr'd and then getting it. No offers to refill. * There were two bar fights in O'Sheehan's, one ...

Just got back from cruising to Bermuda on board the NCL Escape. This is my sixth cruise (Disney, Carnival, Norwegian and Princess). Our group consisted on Adults (47/46), 7 Teens (17-18) and one 12 year old. First and foremost - there are tons of passengers. It had been three years since my last cruise on the Carnival Pride and I always forget how many passengers are on board. People ...

I cruised with Royal Caribbean, Princess and Princess inspired me for wanting to cruise again. I've never cruised with Norwegian so I wanted to know how it is. We chose the Norwegian Escape which sailed out from New York. It's the mega size ship, but with that big amount of passengers I felt cramp; and the layout of the ship is not beautiful either. The food in the buffet was terrible, same ...

Embarking was easy but the lines around 11:45 am were very long. Try to book your shows and specialty dining 90 days prior to sailing. Once on the Escape, you should book the shows at the Box office that you were unable to book ahead. You can also change your days or time for the specialty restaurants and shows if needed. Tip: the electronic boards might display no availabity but at the box ...

We took the Breakaway 4 years ago and enjoyed it so we opted for the new Escape. We love Bermuda and the fact that the ship docks there for 2.5 days, so no stress island jumping day to day and rushing to return to the ship in time. Also, we live near Boston so we just drive to NYC. No flying involved. Escape is a very pretty ship with lots to do. You certainly can't do everything it has to ...

I have sailed on the NCL ships going out NY for the past 10 years. I love it. On vacation 45 minutes after you leave your house in LI. I immediately booked the Escape when I heard it was coming to NY, new shows, some different amenities....exciting. I had sailed the Breakaway 5 times in past 4 years....and LOVED IT. We were in the Haven first day a bit off but after that perfect, Food ...
