Embarkation: Staff in NYC were friendly and efficient. We were in our room on the ship at 11AM (although the ship had been empty for 3 days).

Booked a transatlantic fm NYC to Rome. The ship (Breakaway) is in need to major cleaning and updating. Food in complimentary restaurants, while plentiful, is bland and not usually very hot. We chose this cruise because of the convenience of embarking from NYC, visiting fantastic European ports and being well within our budget. Crossing the Atlantic was not as rough as we expected because when we crossed in 2015, we had to hold the railings as we walked. I have sailed Norwegian over 15 times, and the service has always been good, and cleanliness was always a priority even before pandemic. This cruise was different being the first since COVID that I have been on one. The service was 10 times superior, everyone grateful and appreciative.
