Aurea Balcony Stateroom (B3) Cabin Reviews

Absolutely Fabulous!! : Cabin 15001
Cabin storage areas were small. We did over pack but three people for eight days does require a few items. Overall though the cabin was fine.

The cabin was of good size with a good shower and excellent big bed. As we were in an Area balcony we had a massive size balcony with two sun loungers, two chairs and a table.

Our stateroom was clean and we especially liked the clever switch system MSC uses to control the lights (stowing one’s card in a slot by the door gives light control) and also the system they use to notify the stewards when the cabin’s available for a cleaning or do-not-disturb. Bring charge blocks for your electronics as, per usual, there’s only one outlet and it’s at the desk. A larger table would have been nice but we made it work. There was adequate storage for two. I was in an Aurea balcony, room 9030 - cabin steward (Angela) was friendly and efficient, room was kept spotless! Loved the extended balcony and having a full size lounge chair to nap in. As others have mentioned, there is not a lot of storage space - only 2 drawers and a few shelves in addition to some hanging space - it was fine for just me but would have been challenging for 2 or more in a room. Underneath the balcony on deck 8 is the outdoor spa space with cabanas and a whirlpool and a few lounge chairs - it was very quite, I never saw anyone use the cabanas during the cruise. Because deck 8 sticks out quite a bit, you cannot look straight down from the balcony and see the water. Read Less
